Question about Bissell 7920 ProHeat Pro-Tech Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum
Hello...I need help trying to figure out the problem. I troubleshot as stated thru the Bissell website and no luck. I looked over the belt compartment and the belt is fine and is still turning what I assume is the pump. Could some of the lines be somehow clogged? How could I unclogged them? Please advise. Thanks!
Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to it are not clogged. If water doesn't squirt, check for the seal at the bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole, this is for the soap bottle, there is a seal on the bottom of it as well. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and water to see if that unclogs the lines. Is the top cover and the base tight together in the back, sometimes the top breaks loose and it will raise up and it can't spray, just refasten it down.

I have this same problem and have even replaced the pump with still no resolution. There was a lot of water in the lines so I made sure they were full of water when I attached them and the sprayer sprayed water for a few seconds then quit again. The heater isn't plugged either. A friend of mine was using it and all of a sudden it just "quit" right in the middle. When I got it back, there was dog hair everywhere "including" in the section where the water tank seals with the machine so I cleaned all of that out as well as replaced the belts, cleaned out any hair around there, etc. Any other suggestions? I'm really frustrated.
