I recently restored to factory settings on my HP laptop.once restored I then input my Iomega drive into the USB port to access some of my saved files.

Just to be on the safe side, why not plug in your iomega drive into another known working computer and see what happens. If it works fine and is properly recognized then the anomaly lies within the software of your laptop.

U might want to contact HP - but be fore warned that they are terrible for support if your unit is "out of warranty." If that is the case I would simply google the anomaly and in all likelihood you will get links that will help you fix it yourself.

Desktop wont reboot

The hard drive may be failing, or just the OS or hard drive corrupted. You could try this... Pull the hard drive out, and use a USB Hard Drive Adapter to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive.
Then, you could try to do a Factory Restore on the computer, and if that works, copy your personal files back to your newly restored computer.

Either will work. If you aren't permitted under the context of warranty to open up the computer you will need to get an external one.

500gb toshiba mass storage not detected by computers pl send free software

You didn't said that you are sure the external hard disk is ok so you should test that first: boot from a Linux Live-CD like http://pclinuxos.com/ and plug it in - if it doesn't appear in My Computer then it's dead. Remove the hard disk from the case and put it inside your pc, maybe it's just the case electronics that are dead.

How do i connect an external hard drive to my LG LCD Tv?

The LG's will support an external USB hard drive, but it seems the USB support was intended for thumb drives, so yuo need to do the following to get it working:
  1. the drive must be formatted FAT32 (like thumbdrives)
  2. keep the file names short
  3. keep the directory structure simple and as flat as possible
I have a 60GB laptop drive in a USB 2.0 enclosure drive working really nicely with good transfer rates. It takes it's power from the USB socket and is working fine.

Hope this helps.
