Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop
So I just started working at a place that uses a Casio CE-3700. All was dandy and then something happened and now it gives an E008 error message when I press any button. I was told to press '1' and the 'CLK#' key, but this doesn't work either. It does seem to take '0000'+'CLK#' because it gives me a '0.00' screen, but again get E008 when I hit something else.
I tried turning it off and back on, but no luck. However, I didn't powercycle by unplugging the power source.
Can anyone help or know how to fix this error? This has gotten pretty urgent! Thanks in advance!
Yes, it definitely is the CLERK function. When you enter 0 CLK#, you are just logging off (which has already been done), so that is normal for it to accept that. If you can't get in with 1 CLK# then I'd say someone has setup special codes for this machine (PIN numbers). You will need to do a prog. read. Also, if you have four raised CLERK buttons just below the keylock, one of them should be pressed down. (they are an option on some versions). Try 1 CLK# or 2 CLK# or 3 CLK# ... up to 7. If none will log you on, let me know, and I'll tell you how to do a read on it.
