The wires you seem to be reffering to is connected to the cartridge head(the place where cartriges r installed).connecting them is easy but i think u should consult their mechanics first.

How do you replace the ink cartride in a hp 2175 all in one printer

1. Prepare the replacement cartridge by pressing down and back on the top of the protective plastic, then sliding the cartridge out.
2. Set both the cartridge and empty cartridge protector aside.
3. Turn on your printer and lift the access door until it locks into place. The print carriage will move to the center.
4. Once the print carriage has stopped moving, raise the latch to release the empty cartridge. 5. Remove the empty cartridge by pulling towards you. If you are replacing the tri-color cartridge and need to remove the black ink cartridge temporarily, use the empty cartridge protector to hold it. 6. Hold the replacement cartridge by the sides and remove the black plastic tape. 7. Insert the replacement cartridge into the appropriate slot (left for tri-color, right for black) until it snaps into place. 8. Pull the cartridge latch towards you and press down until it snaps into place. 9. Close the access door. -------

My printer had a jam, which I removed and may have bumped the cartridge. Now it keeps saying to remove and check cartridge. But nothing changes after I do that. Do I need to buy a new cartridge, or is it a...

Actually it posible that it bumped the whole alignment off of the printer.(Not kidding )If you look inside, there is a "belt looking" thing that the cartridges ride on. On those type of printers (ink jet's, bubble jet's), once you get a major paper jam and it does that often, well...Try unplugging the printer, open up the cover so you can see the ink cartridges, if not than manually pull them in from of you, take the ink out, move the slide back in forth 3-5 times (carefully), make sure that the belt is not damaged and is still working fine while moving it. Put the cartridges back in, turn it back on and then run the calibration utility that cam with the software. If that doesn't work let me

Aligning new cartridge

I had the same problem and did some searching on the HP support site (what a mess...)

I did find there was a new firmware update for the 2175. I tried it, and it worked for me. The note on the update says that there were problems.

HP Printer not pulling paper

Check for a jam in paper feeder, look down back with a torch, open up unit and search inside, have a pair of tweezers handy as jams can occasionally be very minute and hard to grab.
