Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Toshiba satellite A105S4284 freezes up, then cursor stops responding, then I have to force shutdown. Running XP Media Edition. I updated windows, tried different RAM, run two different anti virus...

The freeze up could be a overheat problem. The cheap fix for this is an under cooler. I saw one at Best Buy for under $20. Another thing that causes freeze ups is programs running in the background. To check this goto http://www.pcpitstop.com and run the tests there. The results will tell you what is running and offer suggestions to improve performance.

Laptop freezes

This can be caused by system file error or your CPU is over heated. I suggest you to have a system check first To check and repair system file error do the following
Right Click on the system disk (c: drive) then Properties > Tools > Errors checking Check now > Tick on "Automatically fix file system error
It will prompt you to schedule the check next time you restart. click YES then restart and let the system have the checking
If this doesnt fix please tell me
Best regards
