I've problem with top part of ELECTROLUX ER3162BN. termostat is on 5 but frige is not working. Freezer is working fine.

the ptc overload relay on the compressors bad unplug it off the side of the compressor and replace it

Assuming it wasnt removed, the model number tag is usually located inside the cabinet on either of the side walls in the fresh food compartment, sometimes they are located on the ceiling, and you will have to bend down and look up.

all you have to do is defrost the frige the freezer sometimes will freeze up with ice in the back of freezer where the air flows into frige

did anyone help you with this problem? i have a similar problem but my freezer works fine in the summer. it does not stay cold enough in the winter. i keep the frige in my garage as a spare but it's not very helpful when it doesn't work! a repair person told me it was too cold in my garage for the freezer to work...not sure why, the frige part works fine. i'm looking into a blanket insulator from appliance zone to see if that will help.

Check Thermister bulb is properly attached to the Coil or Replace Specific Thermostate will be ok

Defrost heater is open behind back wall. order new heater #wr55x10101 remove 4 screws 2 bottom, 2 top behind light shield, defrost freezer so ice is off of evap, replace heater with new one.

wrong model # ,defrost problem. remove freezer panel, check heater, check limit switch while still covered in ice, if both ohm infinity, replace defrost timer.
