Shut system down and unplug for 5 minutes. Make sure sensor bar is positioned correctly to properly read wiimotes. If this does not correct the problem then you are going to have to reformat the Wii.

Have you tried other games? Is the cursor working with other games? If it is not, then check the connection of the receiver of your wii under or over your TV.

Need to selct english on the ps2 box itself, its in asain can u help

Remove any disk and close the disk tray. Turn off your system and let it sit for a few seconds before turning it back on. Select the "Language" option from the main menu to open the language menu.
Move the cursor up using the directional pad on your controller until you get to "Language Select." Push the X button repeatedly until it lists "ENGLISH." This changes the audio settings from English to Spanish.
Scroll down to the "Subtitles" option in the language menu and change this setting to Spanish as well. The subtitles will appear in ENGLISH at the bottom of the screen every time a character in the game speaks. If you wish, you can skip this step and rely only on the audio settings.
Press the Circle button on your controller to move back to the main menu, which will save the settings. Select the correct time and date setting for your time zone, if the system asks you to do so. Push the Circle button again to access the main menu.
Place a PS2 game into your console and let the game load. You should now have ENGLISH, settings on your PS2, including subtitles.

My gamecube will turn on to set the settings, after I set them I put in a disc and then the power shuts off. I have two sets of power cords I tried them both and it does the same thing with each of them.

  • System settings were lost:
You need to reset the time and date from the Nintendo GameCube Main Menu. To access the Main Menu, turn the power ON while holding down the A button on the controller. Follow these steps to reset the time and date:
    1. From the Main Menu Screen, go to the Calendar Screen by pushing RIGHT on the Control Stick.
    2. Press the A Button to display Calendar Menu choices of Date or Time.
    3. Use the Control Stick (UP or DOWN) to highlight your menu item and press the A Button to select your choice.
    4. Use the Control Stick (LEFT or RIGHT) to highlight the number you want to change, then (UP or DOWN) to adjust the value.
    5. Press the A Button to accept your choice.
    6. Press the B Button to return to the Calendar Menu or the Main Menu.
    7. Pressing the B Button before accepting your choice with the A Button will return you to the Calendar Menu without changing the settings.
If the same error continues to happen, you will need to have your system repaired as it is likely you have an internal battery malfunction. Please use our convenient repair options.

How do you navigate the main screen

Maybe I am not understanding the question, but you normally would use one of the remotes, make sure the receiver bar is either at the top of bottom of the screen and use the remote pointed at the screen to move the cursor around, click on the desired object using the A button on the front of the remote.
Remote has to be pointed at the screen for the cursor to move around and any movement you make will move the cursor.

Wii remote cursor not working in Wii Menu

I find it very irratating to navigate the wii menu as well. It seems our problem is the remote is very very sensitive to the sensor bar. You have to swing the remote around a bit to find the 'hand' you use to click on where you want to go. also, I find that I first have to press A when the menu comes, then almost have the remote 3 inches from the sensor bar. I have also tried putting the sensor bar in different loactions. Like, if we are playing standing up, we put the bar atop of the tv, otherwise if it is a game we can play while sitting, we put the sensor bar under the tv, on the stand (this is a 20") Try moving yours around and find out what works best for you. But it is frustrating as I too find that the remote is too dag 'on sensitive!! Even though I know it's fussy, we still have the problem daily, doen't get any easier! I hope this suggestion helps.
