Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Audio but no video problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem.

Check the HDMI/Composite Video switch on the Video out cable on the back of your console. While it's powered off, press the cable in to make sure that it's seated well and move the switch back and forth and back to which ever setting you are using. This has solved a similar problem for me.

My xbox does not show up but i can hear everything.

The display chip at the back, it is called the "scaler" chip has overheated, you need to stop the heat build up and to do this you can use a good guide or send it in.

The picture doesnt show but I hear the sound.

Don't worry the HD feed from the xbox 360 has a gain limiter
So the chances are more likely that either your Friends xbox has
the HD setting off or the TV has defaulted to standard video in.
If you get a black screen or a mesage that says no single .
But if your getting strange color on your set with the HD on
then we need to investigate this " Microsoft is liable!" for
damages caused by their console. Ill look in to this and
follow up. The xbox has broken connection under the poorly
soldered G.P.U. and will need to be re-flowed to the main
board to corrects this problem but that's a secondary priority
right now.

I'll check this out for you and follow up.

Xbox 360 Blurry/Fuzzy Screen

The machine is overheating and the graphics chip on the main board is acting up cause of it. Make sure there is no dust or dirt blocking the air vents that would cause the system to heat up more then normal.

If that doesn't do it then maybe think about getting a cooler for the system, here is a website that talks about a few of them. Click here.

If that doesn't help then your mainboard is going bad and would need to be replaced.

Screen Problem! Need Serious Help!!

MS recommended and a repair is wise if this is a constant issue. Some people tackle this problem by opening up their Xbox 360 and finding the problem themselves. Those who do report a small magnet that holds the disc in place, loose or not connected. They simply glue this back on; however, opening the Xbox 360 renders the warranty invalid, therefore future repairs may be denied and a fee may be placed.
