Question about Acer AL1715 (Black, Silver) 17" LCD Monitor
Hi i bought a new cd rom (kids game) i have a lcd acer al1715, the game requires the game to be run at 640x480 - the monitor doesnt go this low - is there ANY WAY i can play this game as i get 'data not supported ' floating around my screen - pls helpppppp b 4 i go mad
It probably will support. It most likely gives this message because the refresh rate is too high when it switches to that resolution. An LCD monitor runs best at 60Hz. I'm currently on a mac so I can't recall clearly the PC steps, but I believe you can right click on the desktop to get a menu. Click on Properties. Then click on the settings tab. In there you will see an advance button. Then a new window will open with more tabs. In there I think the refresh rate is in there maybe in the monitor tab. This will although, probably only change the resolution you're on. But if you have an extended driver support for your model, you may also have a list somewhere of the Refresh Rate Hz for different resolutions with out having to change the res in order to change the Hz rate. ALSO - in game settings or menu options somewhere of the game, there might be a Refresh Hz Rate somewhere. Confusing enough?? :-) I know you'll figure it out, I only hope this helps a bit. - Scotty
