Can not synchronize

-   we also have the same problem synchronizing iphone with itunes thru our laptop.

we were trying to charge the iphone via the usb while we were dowloading itunes via apple.com and when the installation was on process the laptop monitor turned black and there was a message saying "stop error" including some error codes. we disconnected the usb and restarted the laptop but when we reconnected the usb to charge the iphone again, it would not charge at all. the laptop would not even read the usb as connected to it.

what could have happened and how would we resolve this problem?

-   bought a new sync cable, but clie will not sync with my computer as did in past - error shows as a connection issue-   bsmiley123
