-   Cannot connect to the internet; when I run the diagnostic, I get "This machine doesn't have any installed network adapter. The required network device drivers may not have been installed."
I do have a Realtek RTL8/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC installed, but I suppose it could be bad, but it does test as good.
I have also tried to unisnstall, but Windows will not let me stating that the adapter may be used for booting the computer. It will not let me uninstall ANY adapter, and I do have admin rights. Any help(?) and thanks.-   nphillips
-   I downloading the drivers that were suggested from all three locations and each time they were loaded on to my laptop, I updated the drivers from the newly downloaded files and it didn't fix the problem. -   dano82

I am getting an Error 1324. The path My Pictures contains an invalid character. I am trying to install the Netgear wireless USB2.0 adapter WG1111.
I have the same thing and the HP tech support had me download drivers again and it still didn't work. They seemed to run out of ideas and I didn't want to waste any more time with them.

I'm having the same problem, my card is built in my motherboard a Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L. the bios contain a Lan tester which seem to see my router but once in Vista I get code 10 problem this thing is driving me up the wall.
exact same problem even when i physically remove the card and put it in a different PCI slot it still dosent start,i have to try many times repeatedly trying different PCI slots and eventually it will start, then it will go for a week or a few days, and its to the point where im scared to turn off my PC because it might not autodetect and start right away at windows XP boot, and ive got to turn it off and repetedly try the different PCI slots again and maybe after a few minutes of doing that ill see the green LED light up at the back of the network card which means it started working.
my pc is not connecting to the internet after installing windows vista upgrade, iit says that the "device cannot start"? Is there a driver that needs to be installed? Please help.
