Does the pilot valve open? Does the pilot flame impinge properly on the flame sensor? A low or weak/yellow flame will not activate the sensor adequately to bring on the main valve. Call your gas supplier to have this looked at and follow their recommendations.

Pilot light lights but will not stay lit with full Propane tank.

Unscrew the thermocouple at the gas valve. Lightly sand the connections, seat and thermocouple end. Sometimes the tiny current generated that keeps a gas valve open will be diminished by corrosion. don-ohio

How do I disassemble a central heating unit. To take it out

of course it depends on the type . Gas or electric . were we there able to see it . perhaps we could be more helpful . turn off electric at the mains turn off the gas at the outside shutoff . and lock both in the off position . it depends on where you live if you are required to get permits to do this also . or if you have to hire professionals .

My Coleman furnace 4322/729 model lights the pilot but won't cut in . What could be problem ? Cleared lines Complete

Gas valve not opening? Does it have the exhaust blower that pulls vacuum switch allowing burner to light?
(1) Thermostat not working? Has to complete the circuit in or gas valve to open.
(2)Can be a stuck or bad gas valve. Try tapping the side of the gas valve body while thermostat is calling for heat. Tapping, not pounding. Like lightly, yannow? don-ohio (:^)

Johnson Starley boiler main board fuse blowing

Chances are the fuse on the circuit board is for control circuit protection. Take note of the location of all the thermostat connections on the circuit board and remove them. Do this with the power OFF. Replace the fuse and re establish power. If the fuse did not blow, the problem is in the wiring to or from the thermostat. It could even have the insulation rubbed through and making contact with the side of the boiler or a mouse could have chewed through the insulation causing a short to a metal object.

Once the issue with the thermostat wiring is resolved, reinstall the low voltage connections and you should be good to go.

Cannot get gas to flow to pilot flame with main valve parallel to gas pipe. Is there something I must push to make gas flow to the pilot flame pipe?

you said, in effect: Cannot get gas to light the pilot flame even though manual supply valve is open. Is there something I must push to light [ignite] the pilot? Permalink
The gas supply valve is open, and the pilot gas cutoff valve is open but [it seems like] gas will not flow to the pilot flame because it will not light when I supply a match or lighter flame. I remember there is a button or something I need to press...but where it it? I cannot find it.
