Magellan roadmate 1440 froze in the first window , with the little clock at the bottom

Most of these devices have a reset button on the unit base. It looks no bigger than a pin head and is usually recessed.

Turn on and take a straightened paper clip or cocktail stick, press into and keep pressed the reset button for a slow count to 15. Release and then let the unit go through its reset procedure before pressing anything else.

Can you tell me where is the reset button on tom tom 1 IQ

I'm a little confused about which unit you have, but the answer is simple enough..... If there isn't a small hole on the bottom of the GPS, then simply hold the on/off button for approximately 15 seconds -- until the unit restarts. The small "hole" that I'm referring to will be in the same vicinity as the connector that the cable plugs into. It should say reset right by it, if the reset button is there. If you do have a reset button on the bottom of the device, you'll need to use something to press the button. A paper clip straightened out a bit works perfectly.

The following lists are from Tom Tom's website. I hope this helps:

Where is the reset button on the tomtom one

TomToms have a tiny little hard to see reset button around the hole for the docking base. Just find a pin and use it to push the button.

My reset button is covered with a plastic piece, under a sticker

The reset button should be located under the faceplate. Stick your thumb nail under the Garmin name and pop the faceplate off.

Resetting frozen tomtom910

The reset button is located on the backside to the right of the connector. Use a straightened paper clip to press in the reset button. the button is difficult to see but it you look into the area where the window mount is and actually just to the right of the copper connector and a little higher that's where the button is located. Good luck

Garmin Streetpilot C530 is locked up and can't even be turned off.

There's a reset button under the trim ring around the face of the unit. Gently pry off the trim ring by hooking a fingernail in the little groove under the logo, then press the reset button. Page 20 of your manual says if you have to reset often, then you might need to update the unit's software. But I wouldn't recommend it if this is the first time.

GPS problem

I had this problem and did several resets both soft and hard. I also charged the battery completely. The gps unit would work in sim mode but when the antenna was opened it would not. Eventually after several charging cycles and resets, I was able to get it to settle down. I had to sync and reload all data. Good :Luck
