Roxio Easy Media creator 7 - dvd burner encountered a problem and abends. Running Win XP Professional and IE version 7.

I used this application successfully many times in the past before experiencing this problem. Having done some research in Roxio user forums, it appears to be caused by an IE 7 change......and they provide a method of removing IE 7 and reverting back to the prior version. Unfortunately, step 4 of their procedure is not applicable in my circumstances.......and so I cannot complete the process. Any other suggestions?

De-installing IE 7 and re-instating IE 6 resolved my Poxio problem. Thanks to Ginko for the remove/re-instate IE instructions.

Try uninstalling Roxio and the Sonic drives and run Fixit. Then reboot and install Roxio first then the Sonic driver.
If this doesn't work uninstall again as previously, install Roxio and check the CD/DVD if necessary run Fixit then install Sonic driver.

Roxio easy cd & dvd creator will not install on windows vista

That's very true of a lot of software. You need to buy a later version that is Vista compatible. If you purchased your program from Roxio, they might offer some kind of upgrade price. There are also several free open-source CD/DVD burner programs available for download that you could look into. A Google search will help you locate some possibilities.

I have just intalled Roxio creator 2009 but much of it will not open. To date I have found advice on Media Cretaot 5, 6, 9 and several other items but not Creator 2009. Can you help please?

are you sure is the full version of the program.. If some or most features are not avaliable (greyed out) you may have a demo version, a shareware version or most likely a system requirement has not been met some some features may not be avaliable to you.

did you check the system requirements before installing the app?

Having installed Roxio Creator 10, I get a recurring message: "RoxMMTrayApp Module has encountered a problem and needs to close." Etc. It occurs even when I am not editing with that software. ...

ROXIO Multi Media Tray Application Module Has Encountered a problem and needs to close.

This Means ROXIO Creator 10 Try Application Encountered an error.

And since it happens while burning a disc

You should

1. Uninstall ROXIO Creator 10 , and reinstall it to make sure nothing is corupted.

2. If you still get the same problem it's time to check your intire system for errors.

This can mean you will need to take trouble shooting steps.

1. Use another burning program to see if you can burn without errors.

2. if you can burn fine with another burning program like NERO then chances are
you have an incompatability with ROXIO Creator 10 and should consult the documentation
to see if your drive is actually supported by it.

Do these things weed hopper and all will be well with you.

I seem to have a conflict between Roxio Easy Media Creator 7 and some other programme (maybe IE6). When I try to open VideoWave it shuts down wirth error exception message in some memory address.

The Roxio shipped with Dell system has bugs in them since they are shipped hence cannot be repaired. you need to uninstall Roxio and install IE7.

If you delete the information in the Control Panel and restart your computer, it will look for the driver by itself.
