For those people who are like me and cannot read any asian at all must follow these steps after you have successfully placed the new firmware on your phone.

the center button is now the menu button, it is no longer the left top touch button

so go to the menu, then to settings which is the bottom right or the 12th icon on the menu screen

the 4th down in settings is PHONE SETTINGS and the first of those is language lol

english is the second language down, and after you do this you will now be able to navigate through yourself :)
but the first time it won't want to write in english, but this can easily be fixed, the top right touch button just needs to be clicked and moved down to either ABC or T9Abc... ect whichever one you think you will need

You will probably have to have this change done at the Verizon store.

The phones I am familiar with offer English and Spanish.

You can inquire at Verizon ... 1800 2joinin but for best service, visit the repair shop.

Languages (Menu 9.2.5)
You can select the display language. When the
language option is set to Automatic, the language is
automatically selected according to the language of
the SIM card used. English will be set if the language
on the SIM card is not supported in the phone.

The display language is preset to English. To change the language, from the standby screen, press Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Language. Choose from English, Espa?ol (Spanish), or Chinese for both the screen text and input language. Note: If you accidentally change your language to Espa?ol and need to reset it to English, from the standby screen, press Menu 9 5 2, select English, and press the OK key.

How do i uninstall chinese language and make it english on a samsung lte A x3

Should look up in setup and change language to English. Sounds rather simple, were it for those strange "chinese" characters!
Some time ago a friend had just the same problem. So he went to his favorite Chinese Restaurant, called the manager and the friendly chinese manager solved the problem in seconds!.
Are you sure it's Chinese and not Korean? Because there are not so many Korean reataurants around.

I could not find an exact match for your model of phone, but try this video on YouTube. Since it shows what screens to choose for a phone in Chinese to get it back to English, it may help you solve the problem until someone with more info comes along.

A second page link below is non-video that also shows what the words for "language change" and so on look like in Chinese and what to pick for English. Good luck!

I have samsung f488e. Display is in chinese/asian language. Can I switch it to english. Where do I get english manuals for it? please help

you can if the language has been programmed into the phone. i presume of course you are aware that is likely a chinese clone of the original (tho i could be wrong). clones are abit hardy to do techy support. we have found a video that may help you navigate to the language section to change it to english.

When you see all of the icons displayed on the phone, the settings icon is the one in the bottom right hand corner. Press this once and it automatically comes to phone settings which is No. 1. press this once and and scroll down just once which is phone language. You should then be able to change it to English.
