Question about GE GSS22JFMWW Side by Side Refrigerator

Shorted out the dispenser board on GE GSS22SBMC BS side x side

I think I accidently shorted out my dispenser board on the front of the freezer. I fixed the ice door solenoid, everything was working great (finally!) put everything back in place and I think a piece of metal touched the empty light socket. Now there is no power, lights or action on the door. The refrigerator is running well. Do I need to replace the board or is there another solution. Thanks for your help.

GSL25JFPE-BS Side by Side refrigerator compressor and condensor fan isn't coming on

GE refridgerators have what they call a main dome control board. This is located on the back of the machine, usually closer to one side or the other and about halfway up the machine. This board really controls everything, even as far as the dispenser in the door. I personally think this is a poor design, even though they look awesome cosmetically. Locate your model number, usually in the refridgerator side somewhere, and go to www.repairclinic.com to order the part. This is becuase they have a return policy that no one can beat. If you install the part and it doesn't work they will take it back and refund you, where as any other part distributor have a no return policy on electronic parts. Good Luck, but you won't need it. This is an easy repair.

Sounds like your water valve may need changing, and has filled up with sediment, slowing the water flow.

I have a GE model GSL22JFPH BS refridgerater and

Then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . There is a heater for the water dispensor tube , pt # WR49X10173 , which should keep this from happening again .

Number 1 thermistor is located against the back of a U shaped chanel atop the left side refrig shelf mounting bracket beside the refrig damper . #2 is located 1/2 way down on the refrig right wall with a 2 " oval covering . # 3 you only have if you have a quick chill at the lower right side in refrig section . # 4 is clipped atop of the coils inside the freezer section . # 5 is located slightly foreward of the drain pan inside of a small capsule at the bottom of the freezer section . There is a way to check all thermistors useing the touch control board , but that was not the question you submitted .

Ge refridgerator model gsl25jfpe bs

I have a gsl25jfpe bs ge regrigerator and the baffle motor that controls air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator is out. This had been causing everthing in the fridge to freeze and cause the water to stop working due to water freezing in the storage tank. The baffle is in the back top of the fridge covered with a plastic cover. Remove plastic cover to check baffle function.
