SOURCE: How can I program a voice mail button on a Lucent

Hello,

Voice mail on a cell phone works similarly to a message machine for a land line, as callers are able to leave voice messages in an in-box for the recipient to listen to at a later time. Understand how cell phone voice mail works with information from a wireless specialist in this free video on cell phones.

However,Your cell phone's voice mail, like your home phone's voice mail, is an electronic message storage system that is accessed by keying in your set password. Your cell phone's voice mail system can be checked from not only your cell phone, but also from your home phone. Difficulty: Easy Instructions

  1. 1 Call your cell phone's telephone using your home phone.
  2. 2 Wait until your cell phone's voice mail answers the call.
  3. 3 Press the star (*) key.
  4. 4 Enter your cell phone's voice mail password.
  5. 5 Select the different options you normally use to read, delete and archive messages within your cell phone's voice mail system.
hope this help?.

Thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Mouse not working..pls help

i guess it is due to conflicting Com ports resources. you can try the following to resolve the problem. i am assuming you have a serial mouse connected to com port

1. remove any devices marked under device manager with yellow exclamation mark or question mark. reboot the system

2. when the system has restarted let the windows install any new devices it has found. after that.... go to device manager right click on com port to which mouse is connected

a) click on port settings tab and click restore defaults.
b) see if windows is reporting any resource conflicts under resources tab.

do you have any other device that is attached to any other com port ? if yes it may be causing resource conflict problems. to solve that click set configuration manually and deselect automatic settings and select different configuration in "settings based on" . this should resolve resource conflicts if any.

I hope this helps solve your problem

Have you checked the guide? a link is below. I know it is a manageable switch. Did it start out in switching mode with all ports in a common vlan such as vlan 1 ?

Need to change the main greeting on our lucent/partner system?

You need to press 0 at the voicemail login prompt. If you dont have a button programmed you can dial Intercom-7-7-7. If the system is configured properly you will get the login prompt. You can then dial 0# for the admin login. The default password is 1234#

Lucent partner system intergrated with AAS gate control and intercom

Sounds like the storm also took out the port in the phone system. try plugging in a standard telephone to the port and see if it works. if it doesn't them move the gate phone to a new port and try it.

Console Problem

When you switch phones the system does not know this. All programming is stored in the system, not the phones. If you swap phones of the same model nothing should change. If you put a phone in with different button configurations then things very well may change.

It's not an easy fix. The phone system would need to be re-programmed for that phone port.

Need portal to Lucent rounter in order to configure PPTP

What model Lucent router is it? If it's an older one (DSLPipe, for example) it won't be able to handle the PPTP connections due to a hardware issue. If that's the case, the best solution would be to request that your ISP (if they supplied it) disable NAT on that router and assign you a block of public IP addresses. That way the router will just directly pass on the traffic to your IP address and VPN would work just fine. Regarding a phone number, Lucent was merged with Alcatel in April of 2006, so you may need to contact them. Their contact numbers can be found here: http://www.alcatel-lucent.com/wps/portal/ContactUs
