Try unplugging it and plugging it back up..alot of ppl say not to do this..but i have done it myself..try this with add and remove..repair the antispyware program first..then uninstall..i did this the other day with a video player..and it fixed it..when you turn your computer back on after unplugging..it will say your computer will come back on in this many seconds..just give it time :)
good luck
p.s.
are you using vista or xp?

You will have to try booting from your Operating System CD and "Repair Windows." Once you get the computer up and running, you should boot into Safe Mode and install "SUPER AntiSpyware," "AVAST Home Free" and Spyware Blaster (links below). These will have to be downloaded from another computer because you will not have access to internet while in Safe Mode. After installing all three, reboot the computer, booting into Safe Mode once again, and run the three programs.

AVAST Home Free (Full Anti-Virus Protection)

SUPER AntiSpyware (spyware prevention)

My computer sceen stopped at loading pdr 2 discriptor?

Reboot your PC and try again but if you did that it still freezes reboot into Safe Mode by tapping on F8 (or escape key) while its rebooting. Once there select "Last known good configuration" and press ENTER.

If that doesn't work continue into Safe Mode and try System Restore and select date of when before this happen, or go to Control Panel > Add/Remove program and remove the offending program.

While there you can also run your anti-virus program.

I bought a Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks-V220 to replace my cordless Microsoft Mouse. The P/N is 630-000031 Rev.002, but it will not download it says it is already used?? How can I get it...

First U have to uninstall any programs installed by first mouse... control panel - add/remove programs.
Leave the new mouse attached.
Then U have to uninstall the old wireless mouse device...
control panel - system - hardware - devices
Reboot... when it detects the device, load the driver for the new mouse from the new mouse cd.
U can load any programs U want from the new mouse cd after insuring the mouse works.

Please completley remove the norton security from my computer...trying to run something comcst says you need to do something to rmove it...please do asap ...thank you

Go into Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs. Wait for the list of all programs to load up.

Go down through the list and look for Norton Internet Security. Remove it. It will take a very long time, sometimes 1/2 hour or more depending on speed of computer. Reboot the computer after it has been removed, especially if/when it asks you to reboot after the process.

After rebooting, go back into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Look for Symantec or Norton's Live Update, remove that as well. Also remove any other Symantec/Norton Anti-Virus or Internet Security programs as well. Then reboot the computer again.

Your computer should be much, much faster now. So now you need a new Anti-Virus program...

I've found in my experience that Norton and McAfee do more damage to some computers than good, besides the fact that they are severely over-priced. I would NEVER install either Norton (Symantec) or McAfee on anyone's computer. Matter of fact, I just had to remove Norton 2008 from a lady's computer today, an old Dell 2400 because her system was too old and slow to run new Norton.

My suggestions for much better anti-virus would be...

- Kaspersky Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- Trend Micro PC-Cillin Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- AVG Free Anti-Virus at http://free.grisoft.com, they also have more elaborate versions with more protection for a cost.

I personally use AVG on my computers, and my family does as well. It's very effective and gets out viruses that even Norton cannot remove.
