I have a Char-Broil Grill that I bought at Home Depot. I tried to use it tonight, and I couldn't get a strong flame. I had put in a new propane tank, and this was the first time I used it. What would you suggest?

The new tanks have a safety feature, if the connector is cracked and there is low pressure it will shut off the gas flow from the tank.
Check the connector at the tank, I had a cracked plastic one.

The burners will not light. It appears that they are no getting any propane from the tank. Unfortunately, I have missed the manuel and this is a brand new grill. First time trying to use it and have...

The problem is more than likely the OPD Valve in the gas tank. To solve this problem, turn the Tank Valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the tank valve ON VERY,VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow). Once it's fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to it's highest setting. Does the flame height look correct? If so, light the remaining burners following the same procedure. Now, to all the flame heights look correct? If so, you solved the problem. Just remember to always turn the tank valve ON very, very slowly. If it didn't solve the problem, make sure you have adequate gas in "old propane tank from the other grill."

Low flames

Try replacing the hose and regulator, easy to do, and not very expensive.

My grill won't light. I have new propane and when I turn it on and push the button it clicks but no flame. Any suggestions? Thank you

First thing can you hear and smell propane running. If you can then try and start with a match. If this works your ignitor is probably dirty in the grill area. Where wire connects under grill look at the metal that this is connected to, could be dirty with grease or just needs to be bent closer to metal that it sparks off of. If this doesn't work then ignitor button is bad and needs to be replaced. You can buy at lowes or home depot.

Problem with my Char-Broil Grill

Rest asurred your igniter is made to excite the customer that buys the unit. However, in realltiy use a common (extended) Bic type grill lighter sraight up. No listening for nothing, just look for flame. If no no flame RUN LIKE HELL!!!

MY propane grill will not come up to the 500 plus degrees for grilling.

There are four possible ways this problem could occur.
1. The unit is old and the burner tubes are plugged, either with rust or spider eggs [yes, they like it their in the winter]. Parts are available at Home Depot and Lowes.
2. The unit is designed for either Natural Gas, and you are using Propane. Conversion can be done.
3. Your gas flow is not forceful enough from the Propane tank. Could be an old tank or a bad regulator. Replace bad parts.
4. Your unit isn't getting enough oxygen because there is too much ash and grease under the grill blocking the airflow. Clean the grill.

Yellow flame from all carryover tubes. This grill is brand new

if the unit is running on natural gas, this is not unusual. if running off propane tank something is wrong with the regulator
