Yeah mine is doing the same thing, what's up with it? While watching TV, you hear almost a loud static noise once and then the sound cuts out. Then shortly after, FG1 is illuminated and the system shuts off.

Check your power source, low voltage automatically shuts down unit and code pops. Check your main speaker speaker connections, it is always the culprit.

I just starting having the same problem this morning- think it's saying F61 and acorrding to the manual you should check and correct the speaker cable connections- and if that doesn't work call the dealer

F61 or fg1 my sa-ht810v says this any ideas

F61 usually means the amp has detected a short or a severe microprocessor error.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Hometheater system doesn't power up

A Panasonic? Most likely it will need an output ic or a voltage ic. It could be just a stuck fan (rare). F61 is a voltage error code.

I have a err code "chgr err" on my panasonic sc-pt960.

This would indicate a CD/DVD Changer Error.
The system thinks there is a stuck disc or other wierd problem with the CD/DVD changer.
Unfortunately these issues are rather hard to fix, due to the way the changers work.
Opening these units isn't that hard, however fixing an issue with the changer is very difficult and is best left for a specialist.
You may need to contact a local Panasonic repairer to get this one fixed.
Use the link below (if you are in the US) and enter your model number and ZIP code to locate your nearest repairer.

Best of luck, and sorry that I could not be of much more help than this.
