Question about Epson Expression 1640XL Pro Flatbed Scanner
Whenever I do a scan both the preview and the actual scan have a red line running the full length of the scan. I goes down one side about 1.5 inches in from the side. What causes this and how can I make it go away? I have downloaded and installed new drivers while on the phone with tech support and the problem persists. I also cleaned the sensor window.
Most likely it is a spec of dust on the scanning sensor. I recommend cleaning with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol. More info here - http://www.willshak.com/scanner/
