No Picture when in "Camera" mode!

My Panasonic NV-GS120 has just took a turn for the worst.When I switch it to "Camera" mode there is NO picture just black.However when I press the "Colour night view" button the picture will show.There is no problem when its in "Tape" or "Playback" mode.Anyone have any ideas?....Thanks in advance!
I HAVE A SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMCORDER WILL PLAY RECORDED TAPES BUT WHEN WE SWITCH TO RECORD HAVE A FUSSY SCREEN APPEARS TO BE STUCK ON ZOOM ...HAS BEEN TO SHOP ONCE THEY SAY IT WORKS FOR THEM!
