If you merely lifted it up off the two spring loaded supports, you should only need to slide it back into the bottom of the door...You may need to use pliers to move the supports into a horizontal position (normallaly open position). If you actually removed the supports from the will be very hard to replace, because the springs are hidden.

Door is on lock mode had it on to clean wont let it clean door latch wont catch and an not stop it it will not work at all need access code to take lock off

Hi Deborah.

Most ovens do not have an access code. When the door locks up it means that either the oven is still hot after self-clean cycle, or that the door lock mechanism is broken. When the door mechanism is broken we disconnect power and use a cloth hanger to unlock the door. The method prescribed by manufacturers does the same thing but requires disassembling the top part.

Of course these are general indications. The model number of the range was not included in the initial questions.

Please start by disconnecting power and wait until the oven is cold. Apply power back and see if this is enough to unlock the oven.To disconnect power trip the circuit breaker or disconnect the power cord.

If that does not work, please give me the appliance's full model number, so that I can provide more specific information.

If you cannot locate the model number, see:

I put it n self-clean mode, thought quickly- I hope there isn't any thing in it opened, door right after, lock tongue engaged I can't get it back in, tried cancel, tried re-starting clean mode, tried...

Here is the repair manual for your exact model$FILE/4322089.pdf

See page 18 for diagrams on your lock which is activated by an electric solenoid.

Here is the solution to get the lock to open:

Pull the unit out - on the upper right side top of the back (when facing the oven door), there is a small plastic wheel attached to a bracket with a 0.125" OD lever attached. When the wheel rotates via the electronic solenoid, the lever goes front to back. This is connected to the door latch in such a way that when you move the latch lever toward you (the front of the oven), the latch moves to the left, unlocking the door! Either spin the wheel by hand to move the lever forward, or remove one screw to loosen the housing, then remove the lever from the wheel and push forward toward the door.

Hope this resolves the issue for you. If so please remember to accept and rate my answer as this is exremely important to me as an expert on the site. Many Thanks.

Try unplugging the oven from the electrical power. May release the lock, which is held in place by a tiny micro switch. If not and while the electric is still off or the oven is unplugged, use a bright light flashlight to look through the slot where the lock is in the oven, not in the door.

You may be able to use a thin blade screwdriver to move the lock to the release position. Check the angle of the lever. A slightly bent lever handle also can cause this type of condition.

If all else fails, remove the access panel on the front of the oven to access the locking device and release it. May have to disconnect the wires to the lock which will allow door to function but not during any self cleaning modes.

Oven door back on

My Jenn-Air oven door also comes off to clean. To remove the door you just open it slightly (to the first position) and lift the door up. To replace it just pull the hinge out about the same angle (about 15 degrees) and slide the door in place on the hinge levers and close the door.

Need help putting GE oven door back together again

they're called towers. They go on the 2 long screws once you've put the screws through - so they go between the two panels. They are used to space the 2 panels so that they line up flush when they are back together.

Lower heating is not working

Replace the igniter even if it "appears" to be working. Bright red isnt hot enough. It has to be bright white. Goodluck...

Self cleaning oven door locked before I got the door closed.

Try holding in on the door switch while resetting the clean cycle.
This should rotate the latch. Once the cycle starts, cancel it. The latch should go to the unlock position.

You will have to hold in on the door switch during all these steps.

If this does not work, post back with the complete model number from the oven and I will see what else I can come up with.
