What it is sounding like is that you can not even log onto your computer and that your operating system has been erased. Is that correct?

    Hi, Andrew.

Perhaps you could be more specific about what files?
Also, what Operating System (Windows, etc.) are you using?

Many times deleted files are simply in the Recycle Bin/Trash.
    Have you checked there?

If your files are deleted from recycle bin you should try 3rd party recovery software to get them back from internet.
if you are unable to logon in xp ,when your computer starts press f8 and then select the option last known good configuration .if that also dont solve your problem use your xp cd ...boot from cd and when asked press f2 for automated system recovery.....................
Good Luck.
Please let me know your feed-back.

If you are using an external HDD, be sure to back it up- even by simply copying the files on the drive to an extra drive you have free. You could at least back up your most important files.

I've never felt the need to back up my drive, but now my lesson's learnt.
Don't learn the hard way like me- all my files are gone.

Recover deleted nintendo 64 files

well, when you erase a game file from an n64 cartridge, the file itself is not erased, all that happens is the game marks it as an empty file and available to use; but all the bits and content that make up your saved game file are still there. It may just be the system is having a hard time reading the data stored or is failing to recognize it.

I accidently deleted allof my drivers and window 7 files now i can't get them back

Well you see if your os files are gone there gone you cant get them back unless you reinstall the os with a windows disc. Plus how do you delete you most important files of your computer ? Im just wondering since even my 80 year old grandmother knows not to go in that deep. Sorry to be mean but youve really pickled yourself here.

Clean old files out of a computer

go to "my computer" and click on the drive (usually "C") and click on explore. the drive storage files will open so that you can choose which ones you want to delete. You can delete one file at a time or hold down the CNTRL Key and keep selecting files but don't try to do too many at once, maybe 10 or 15 at a time, just hit the delete key and they will be gone, realize that once they are gone they are actually in the recycle bin and can be recovered. You will not get your space back until you actually go into the recycle bin and delete the files that are there but once you do this, its final and your files are gone forever (well not exactly, but it would be difficult to get them back).
if you have a drive besides the "C" drive that you want to deltet files on, you can go to the drive and choose "select all files" and then hit the delete key, these will go to into the recycle bin as well and you'll have to detlet them there too to actually recover all your space. Be advised that some files are so large that when you hit the delete key the file won't go to the recycle bin but a diaglog box will open asking you if you want to delete the file.

Lost my files

Mistakenly you deleted them, so no way to recover. Compare the 2 statements: "I found the place but they are all gone." "I couldn't find the place". Your situation is the former, so is not you failed to find the location where the files were. You knew the location.
