Go to C:\WINDOWS\twain_32\Ricoh_V3\NeoRC3E\ScanCTRL and open scnhosts with notepad. go to the bottom of this file and remove the (#), type in the IP address of the printer and just copy the remainig parts from the lines on top of this one. save the file and try again (the PC might need to be restarted).

Unable to write the file to "Destination Folder"

A recent (Dec 2015) Windows 10 update seems to have removed the access required for the service account used by Brother to write to the hard drive. This fixed the scan function for me...

  1. Navigate to the directory where you write the files (C:\Users\YourID\Pictures\ControlCenter3)
  2. Right click on the Scan directory and open Properties.
  3. Click Security tab.
  4. Click Edit
  5. Select WMPNetworkSvc
  6. Allow Full Control
  7. Click OK

How do i set scan destinations unable to select destinations Using Vista

When you launch your scanning software (most likely the HP software that came with OJ7210), it should come up and ask you what destination you wish to store the file. If it doesn't do it at the onset, it will definitely ask you when you go to save the file.

If it's going to a default location, such as Document>Scans as an example, look for that setting in your scanning software and you should be able to change it there.

Hi,
As i understand that you u r able to print and copy fine which ensure that there is no issue with the connectivity and scanning device.
However next troubleshooting comes in picture is software as per you have mentioned that yoiu have downloaded and installed the complete software couple of times still the issue persists.
In that case we need to Programn Scan to option in the printer software and on your all in one.

Choose the destination by moving them from the PC window (the left window) to the All-in-one window (the right window).

'unable to save file. the system cannot find the path specified'

Had this same problem and just fixed it. You need to actually change the button settings in Navigator. Open MP navigator and choose One-Click, then click Button Settings. You can choose a new save destination from here. Even though you are using the software instead of the button on the device, it works.

HP Deskjet F2200 All-in-One SCAN green light flashes but does not scan

Error: “HP Cue Scanning Flow component has encountered a problem and needs to be closed”.

The problem is caused by HP software not installing the file path to the scanner correctly in XP, so if you run a registry cleaner such as RegCure it will delete the file path.

OS: Windows XP.

If you encounter this error message please follow the steps below:

1. Go to registry by clicking on Start/Run then typing in regedit and hitting enter.

2. Go to HKEY_ Local_ Machine\Software\Hewlett-Packard\DigitalImaging\

3. Click on the Digital Imaging Folder and in the Right Hand Side Pane and check if the String Value “ProfileWritePath” is present and Value is set to %APPDATA%\HP\Digital Imaging\Data\Destination

4. If the Sting Value is not present right click and then click on new and then click on String Value Name it as “ProfileWritePath” and then right click on that and click on Modify and make sure that the value is set to “%APPDATA%\HP\Digital Imaging\Data\Destination” and close the registry editor.

5. Then go to My computer C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\HP\Digital Imaging\Data and check if the Destination folder is present. If not create a new folder and name it as “Destination”.

6. If you are unable to locate the Application Data folder under All users, click on Tools and then click on Folder Option. In the Folder Options Window click on the View tab and under Hidden Files and Folders make sure that “Show Hidden Files and Folders” is checked and then click on Apply and then click on OK..

7. Then Make sure that the same that the HP\Digital Imaging\Data\Destination folder is present under all user profiles Application Data folder.

8. Run Regcure and after the scan check the file/path errors and tell it to ignore the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\digitalImaging ProfileWritePath= C:\Documents and Settings\ (whatever your file path to the destination folder is)

Now it should run flwalessly even after you run regcure.

For other registry cleaners I'm sorry but you will have to find out how to tell your cleaner not to delete the erroneous file/path error.

If the software is sucessfully installed in your computer,
Then you should have a icon which says HP Director / HP Solution Center (If not Goto> Start> All Programs> HP and then you will see them
Open HP Director/Solution Center and try scanning from there, It should scan from there.
If yes then go to settings> Scann Settings> Scan to setup> There you see an option which says Front panel Destination list> Click that and there you see a options says Restore Defaults> Click that> then Apply and Ok> And close all the indows and try scanning from the All-In-One.

If it does not work then try the steps bellow:
