Question about Lexmark X8350 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Lexmark X8350 jams (and other problems) after ink cartridge refill

I had my black ink cartridge refilled and I once I loaded it back in the printer I had false "paper tray door" open, jams with paper curling around back roller (rear door which is cleared for jams) and print heads appearing to be printing, but nothing is on the output.

Could all of this be related to some kind of damage to the cartridge when it was refiled or is there something else probably going on? I find it strange that I wasn't having these problems until I put the refilled cartridge back in.

I'd hate to go buy a new ink cartridge and that's not even the problem.

Did not tear any of the paper when jam occurred. Nothing can be seen as to the possibility of blocking the path. I just find it strange that all of this occurred from the false "Open Paper Tray" errors, the paper wrapping around the rear rollers, the paer comes out without anything printed, but the heads where moving like there was some output. I didn't have these problems before refilling the cartridge.

You have a paper jammed in the path or there is something blocking the path, try to look inside carefully.

put the old cartridge back in and see if you have the same problem, check the paper tray if the spring pops up went you install the tray.

Refilled ink printer. still shows empty on the printer,s screen

Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled/remanufactured cartridges. These tend to degrade print quality and printer/cartridge performance.
Please note that once a cartridge is refilled, it can no longer register its ink level.

Another thing which is mentioned at their support site is quote:
If you have refilled the cartridges you got along with the printer, you can't reset them. 23 and 24 are not meant to be refilled. They are what Lexmark call "return program cartridges"- they can't be refilled, you can send them back to Lexmark ( that's why they are called "return cartridges"). You need to buy either 23A and 24A or 34 and 35, those cartridges are refillable.

Hey....I solved the lexmark out of ink problem!!!HA!!! what you have to do if you want to refill these is "pop" off the top of the cartridge. It is not easy as it is glued down...using a small screwdriver preferably a small flat jewelers screw driver you can peel back the plastic that seperates the "lid" of the ink cartridge. you have to use a little force but you can get it off. Once you do this the cartridge will always read full!!!!!! just tape it or super glue it back on. You never have to take it off again! although I recomend cleaning the ink sponges inside every 3 refills. but this works great.....ha ha lexmark.....I got ya!!!!

X8350 lexmark cartridge refill

Carefully lift the tape sticker and there are three very small holes under, with a thin screw make them a little bigger and test with a pin the corresponding color and then inject 4 to 5 ml. of ink in each one, after that reapply the tape sticker.
