When i open yahoo it appears an error !!! the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). click on Ok to terminate the application

Try to remove yahoo messenger and re-install it again.
If you can't uninstall it try this:
1) Log out of Yahoo Messenger and close yahoo messenger completely [ it should not be running under task manager as a process ]. 2) Open Start Menu >> Control Panel. 3) Double-click on Add or Remove Programs. 4) Locate Yahoo Messenger in Add or Remove Programs. 5) Click Change/Remove button. 6) Restart your computer, if it doesn't restart it automatically. 7) Open Yahoo folder in Program Files (C:\Program Files\Yahoo) and delete it. 8) Open registry through Start Menu >> Run and type regedit now navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ registry entry, delete Yahoo, and exit the Registry.
If the above method does not work for you, try the following methods to solve the problem.
1. Open Program Files >> Yahoo Messenger and find the file UNWISE.exe file. Double click this to run it. This will un install yahoo messenger.

There seems to be problem with a start up program. Check the startup programs for errors

i would uninstall yahoo instant messenger through the control panel, add/remove programs and then go to yahoo.com and download the instant messenger and reinstall it as a starting point.

Uninstall and reinstall it again that will do. Also update the .NET framework and java. Because that is essential.

I'm having the same problem, not quite sure whether it is happending due to upgrade to IE 8 or Windows Installer 4.5 installation. Cleanup and re-install of Yahoo Messenger 10 won't help. The YahooMessenger.exe fails to initialize right during the installation process.

This application failed to initialize properly 0xc0150002.

Ever since yahoo upgraded from version 8 to 9 and then 10, their software has become extremely dodgy and problematic for many old school users like myself. I have used yahoo messenger since 1998, and this is by far too bad for a company of this size and scale, must be a sign of microsoft partnership... crappy codes!

I have tried uninstalling using MS uninstaller utility and ran yahoo setup with an admin account as an administrator (R/Click) and the same ****ing problem over and over with the same code 0xc0150002, application failed to initialize, click ok to terminate.

This is the combination of microsoft's notoriosly fragile windows structure and yahoo's latest buggy messenger. Funny thing, when u check yahoo answers, u find the LAMEST and most ridiculous responses to questions regarding the subject. spammers and outright idiots respond with garbage. not even one solution to fix this.

so get an older version that works for u, to me its worth the trade off when the latest yahoo keeps failing me
