Question about Computer Servers

Comcast email When I open my Comcastemailathome, within seconds the screen turnswhite. At first Ithoughtitwas just my email and, perhaps, Iwas bitten by a bug butwhen Iwasworking on my Outlook calendar, thesame white screenappearedwithinless than 5 minutes. I can access email at work but not at home. Is it a bug? Do I have to have my system rebuilt? If so, how can I save everything before I have it fixed? Stressed.

DCSH has asked you to clarify your question to best assist with your Comcast email problem:

does your problem occur only when you access or open Comcast or outlook

    Bummings reply:

At first I thought it was just when
I was working on Comcast email, because that is basically all I do on my
computer. But, after the white screen problem
started, when I only had my Windows calendar open and was making changes to
that file, the same thing happened – the screen turned white for no reason.

    For further clarification, I am
working on HP Pavilion a1 129n AMD 64 Athlon Windows XP, 512 MB SDRAM Memory…..

    I am at a loss!

Please backup all YOUR DATA onto any media you have upon BOOTING your comp before you attempt to execute any of the programs. The problem what you have does not seem to be hardware related as yet . After you backup Your Data completely you could remove the existing harddisk from your comp , connect ANOTHER HARDDISK or a SPARE HARDDISK that you might have and install the winxp OS followed by your email app., software and perform checks by trying to execute different options . The outcome of this exercise gives you the solution. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND AT THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO BOOT YOUR COMP TAKE A COMPLETE BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA FOR WHICH YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE WHICH MIGHT HAVE BEEN SEVERAL MAN HOURS OF WORK EITHER MANUALLY OR AUTOMATICALLY WITH THE AID OF BUILT-IN OPTIONS IN COMCAST SOFTWARE.

Do this and let me know I will help you further if required.

E-mail service has nothign to do with the computer you are using. Al sign-on for emails have th option to follow some steps if you forgot your passwoer. Maybe you are not using the correct password, so check this option. If you can't solve the problem, open a new email. Use gmail, it has a very good service to recover access.

Unable to connect to server

You should call or email the game support staff. You have some configuration problem with the game. it's impossible to tell anything else without more info.

Sometimes it is drivers, sometimes games will refuse to connect if your machine doesn't meet the minimum specs; there are literally thousands of answers to this questions without further details. It might even require you to open your firewall (windows or home router perhaps). You really need to look at the game's support website and look at their FAQ page, this is a common problem for first time installs of online games and can easily be fixed.

Everything is reported within Insight Manager, but if you can't isolate the error there open the case and boot up. The internal error will correlate with an intern red indicator to identify actual failure.

Dell PowerEdge 1500SC that started to reboot itself randomly but now switches off within a minute of startup

assume power supply is failing or overheating, suggest replace power supply for new one or one with higher power rating to cope with power demand.

I hope this was useful.

I CANNOT OPEN OR SEND EMAILS

  1. Cannot send email but able to receive
Typically, POP based email accounts have the same address for incoming and outgoing email servers. However, sometimes the email service provider might have a different outgoing email server which has a different username and password (next point). Please check with your provider for details if you cannot send email but can receive. Is the outgoing email server address correct?
The outgoing email server (SMTP) address needs to be correct for you to send messages from the account. You can find this information in the email you have received from your web host.

The outgoing email server address would typically be based on your web site's address, unless the server has been configured differently. Thus, if your web site's URL is www.my-web-site.com, the outgoing email server address would be either my-web-site.com or mail.my-web-site.com (substitute my-web-site.com with your actual domain name).

HOW TO ENABLE 289 DIMM D01 is disabled in server 2008.

terrible question; please add more detail

if your system has a dual CPU socket, perhaps you don't have a second cpu (where more memory banks usually require that second cpu socket to be populated in order to use the dimm slots); doubtful, but there could also be a jumper on your mobo

or maybe look in your BIOS; that's where things are enabled/disabled (i.e. server 2008, afik, doesn't have a way to specifically disable a dimm slot)

the mobo (or system) manual may have guidance for memory installation; e.g. sometimes there's a size or slot population type table (or compatibility; i.e. maybe the memory you are installing is dual rank and the system only takes single, thus it appears that the slot is disabled)

My account has been illedally used , emails have been sent to my contacts begging for money. l cant get into my account with my password. Please advise . Thank you David

whenever you set up this email account, you should have left a secondary email address; one to send the password reset requests for situations like this. if you have a second email account
please enter to your jacked email address and click on the link forgot password, this will send an email to your secondary email account with instructions on how to reset the password of your account so that you can take control again.

I just got this machine and it hangs on the POST (with video) about 1/4 of the way. This is before the F2 or F10 message comes up. Two days ago, I took the CMOS battery out and put it back in and it did...

POST errors can be difficult to diagnose.

If you have a speaker attached, listen for a sequence of short and long beeps, and pauses between. Record the sequence, this is a code that tells what the POST diagnostic is.

Other start up BIOS keys are F2, F6, F8, F10 and F12; when I don't know which one it is, I just hit all of them.
Whether it's stated or not, you can usually hit these keys during the memory count, (The second Self Test after video)

If the Memory Count dosn't finish and the BIOS open, then perhaps a dammaged memory chip is the cause. Try Rearranging the chips, or removing all but one of them and try the boot sequence.

This may not be a solution but further info can be gained by trying these.

1600sc second CPU

Hi

Yes, some systems (newer PowerEdge Servers, generally 6/7th Generation and above) have onboard VRMs.

1600sc is a 6th gen PowerEdge (with Simple Computing). I can checked and be absolute certain from within Dell. I'm on VAC until Saturday.

In the meantime, check the PRC model and revision and ensure that they match. Given that a single PRC POST/Boots, try upgrading (if not already) the system BIOS to latest revision.

If the PRC model/revision does match and you have the latest BIOS version, also if the VRMs are not needed, then from the Troubleshooting you have already done, we may conclude that the PRC 2 slot is faulty.

I will confirm the VRM query on Saturday.
