Ok so let me clear your doubt.See the fault lies no where it depends on the software.Actually WMP,Cyberlink and all these have the volumes set to a particular limit by the softweare developer. So that's why you will have to shift to another software which can give you a full boost. One of them is VLC..i hope im clear.

If you have anymore doubts you can ask me..

Please don 't forget to rate or accept the solution as fixed over here and also the one which you posted..

No sound on my computer except when I go to one website

Make sure you have the volume turned up and not muted.

Check your Sound Audio settings in the Control Panel. Click Start/Control Panel and check the settings.

You could right click on the megaphone at the bottom right near the time to get to the Audio Sound settings.

You could try downloading and reinstalling the Audio Drivers.

Get online and got to In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Audio drivers.

Try the VLC Player. I have seen it solve issues with sound devices. It comes with drivers and codec.

Try using VLC as your player. Go to and in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes). Look for the Video Lan download from site Download and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats and media. It's totally FREE.

Intermittant stuttering/surging when starting

Rough idle or stalling. Ignition timing is controlled by the electronic control ignition timing system. The standard reference ignition timing data for the engine operating conditions are pre-programmed in the memory of the engine control module (ECM). The engine operating conditions (speed, load, warm-up condition, etc.) are detected by the various sensors. Based on these sensor signals and the ignition timing data, signals to interrupt the primary current are sent to the ECM. The ignition coil is activated, and timing is controlled. Check for any fault at: Spark plugs faulty Replace plugs Ignition wiring faulty Replace wiring Ignition coil faulty Replace ignition coil High tension cord faulty Replace high tension cord

DVD player sound

is the dvd a retail dvd, or a copied dvd? can you play music cd's ok? if the sound is stuttering, you may have too many other programs running. Check the systme tray amd close down all other apps and icons. most likely a problem with the laptop needing more memory to play the dvd. also try another dvd player like vlc or, or for updated player codecs.
