-   Same problem - Nikon L18 about 2 months old. Will be working fine, then all of a sudden - white horizontal lines across picture and/or pinkish cast to entire picture. Has nothing to do with transferring pix - you can see it on the display too. Tried removing/reinstalling the memory card - temporarily helps, but problem comes back.

-   Same problem - randomly appeared. First noticed on the 'snow' setting one early morning. Thought the pink/grainy effect was a trick of the strange light in the early morning (sunrise). It persisted for a couple of days then righted itself when taking a couple of daylight pictures, again of snow scenes. 3 pictures later, back to pink/grainy. I've tried every setting and all pictures come out pink/grainy. It doesn't affect the pictures sitting in the camera from the summer. I googled this and got a lot of postings on other digitals where the problem was diagnosed as a faulty batch of 'CCD sensors' (think that was it) which the suppliers were fixing for free in 2008. Seems that the only answer was replacement of this part (if I've got its name right)

-   When pointing and shooting, there is a pink discoloration around theLCD screen. The pictures are coming out completely pink, and usuallyblurry. Videos come out clear but have the pink discoloration aroundthe edges. I have adjusted the exposure, color options, white balance, etc. This happened when I first bought the camera, but had correcteditself the next day. Last night I was shooting pictures and they werecoming out fine, and then this issue randomly popped up again between 2pictures I took. I had not adjusted anything in the menus.

Hi,
I own a panasonic lumix DMC-FZ28 that has stopped working. Probably due to small amounts of sand/dust getting in lens area over time. It's about 1.5 years old, but I use it almost daily at the beach to film/take photos. When I turned it on yesterday, it said, "please remove lens cap and press >". The lens cap was already off. The zoom feature won't work - it can't move at all. I'm guessing it needs a thorough cleaning. I am wondering what that will cost to have done and if I should just buy a new camera. I live in Hawaii - 96714, so there will be shipping costs also. Please let me know your advice. Thank you! Lauren

Screen appears pink as do photos. This just happened and still have several previous photos on memory card that are fine when reviewed.

The screen and pictures are coming out in a hot pink and yellow. It seems to be where daylight hits the subject as photos are ok when taken at night or indoors. I've tried resetting & have ensured all settings were the same as a friend's exact same camera that doesn't have a problem but no luck.
