Four cans are bundled together using a piece of string. If you allow 5 cm for tying the knot, what is the shortest amount of string that you need if each can has a radius of 4 cm?

remove starter
get new rope
wind spring DONT LET GO UNTIL DONE
feed in new rope , tie knot in rope, replace handle ,tie knot in that end. NOW YOU CAN LET ROPE RETURN IN SLOWLY
This is an easy fixya. Take a piece of string or thin rope and tie a small loop in one end. Then wrap it around the two pulleys. Thread the "non-loop" end through the loop and tie it off with a secure square knot so it can't slip out. Remove the string. You can take it to the auto parts store and have them measure it or you can cut the string at the knot and measure from the tip of the loop to the knot yourself. The nice thing about the serpentine for the AC is that it's a simple bolt to adjust the tension. Make sure you have the old belt with you so you can get the correct rib pattern. I just replaced the whole AC in my 2.7L. It took about 2 and a half hrs.
You can tie the apron strings together so they don't get tangled. Or even safer is if you put them in a pillow case and tie a knot in the pillow case. Good luck
if its a serpentine belt ,take a couple of shoe strings tie then together wrap string around all pulleys tie your knot carry it to parts house and get a belt about a half shorter so it will be able to get tight when it goes around the idle pulley
you will need to take the shroud off the the engine, should be four bolt. remove shroud, turn it upside down, wind pulley counterclockwise with the pulley wound insert cord by aligning it through the holes, tie a knot and singe, let go of pulley and it will self retract, pull on the cord a few times to ensure the knot is holding then reinstall shroud. Hope this helped Tim
1 Remove the cover from the side of the blower that contains
the pull start. This usually involves removing the self-tapping screws
that join the two halves of the blower housing together.
2
Remove the broken rope from the starter pulley. Usually the
rope is attached to the pulley with a simple overhand knot; just grab
the knot and pull the rope back through the hole in the pulley.
Sometimes the rope is attached to the pulley with a staple or some other
fastener, which you'll have to remove first.
3
Remove the handle from the replacement rope, if it's already attached.
4
Thread the end of the rope opposite the handle through the
hole in the starter pulley, working from the inside of the pulley (the
side facing in toward the engine).
5
Fasten the rope to the pulley. If it attaches with a knot,
simply tie an overhand knot, pull it tight and trim off any excess rope
sticking out of the knot. If it attaches with a fastener, replace the
fastener.
6
Wrap the rope counterclockwise around the pulley until the pulley is full; this usually involves one or two wraps.
7
Thread the free end of the rope through the hole in the blower housing.
8
Replace the blower housing and screw it in place.
9
Trim off excess rope, leaving about 6 inches of rope protruding from the blower housing.
10
Attach the handle to the starter rope. This typically
involves threading the rope through one or two holes in the handle and
securing with an overhand knot.
It is solved by writing an equation If the shorter piece is y cm, then the the longer piece would be 4y which is four times the shorter length. The total of these 2 together is 2meters or 200 cm, Now write the equation (2 pieces together is 200cm)
y + 4y = 200 5y =200 y =40 Since we have taken the lengh of shorter piece as y, Shorter piece=40 cm OR 0.4m Longer piece =160cm OR 1.6m I have written the steps in detail for you to understand the process Good luck luciana44 Longer piece= 160cm
DO not use a chicken larger than 5 lbs. Tie cooking twine around the chicken to hold it together so it doesn't touch the sides. I use two or three pieces of twine - wrap it around and tie - cut off the ends of the twine close to the knot.
