Power window problems on 1997 chevy venture van

Passenger side widow goes down but not up. A new motor was installed but only goes down. I think when you push the switch forward the window should go up but it goes down pushing forward. Drivers side is sluggish and goes up and down but forward on the switch makes the window go down.

Sounds to me like the switch on the passenger side is broken or the wiring is wrong or a plug has come off, use a screwdriver with a cloth and pop out the switch and check the wiring and plugs.

Check eBay for chevy switch's

Replacing a window motor on 04 VW beetle

The motor is easy to get to , first you'll have to remove your interier door panel. To do this you have to remove some screws, 2 are hidden in the grab handle that you use to pull the door closed from the inside. You have to pop off the outer cover with a flat head screw driver, start from the bottom and gently work the screw driver under the outside of the grab handle then pry up to un-clip it. Once the cover is removed there are 2 phillips head screws that will be visible on the top and bottom of the the handle. once those are removed you will to remove the 3 T20 torques screws from the bottom, those are not hidden and are visible if you bend down and look straight on the the bottom of the door panel. Once those screws are removed you just pull out on the rood panel from the bottom, I start on the left side first and pull to release those clips then do the same on the right side, then you just lift the door panel out of the widow seal groove on the inside on the window. If you are careful you can position the panel so you dont have to remove the inside door handle cable or the electrical connectors for the window switch and lower door panel light. The motor will be the large black electrical box that is in the middle of the inner door panel/window regulator assembly. It is held on by 3 T30 torques screws. Just remove the screws and gently pry the motor off of the window regulator. then you just line up the bolt holes on the new motor and push it in gently making sure it splines correctly if the window goes down a little at this point that's not a problem because you will reset the calibration for the window motor by running it up and down once after you've put it together. To program the one touch feature you just hold up on the window switch for aprox 5-10 seconds after the window is closed in the fully up position. Hope this helps!

I have been given a medion scanner August 2002 and hoped to scan some old photos by using my new laptop DELL WIDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM.no such luck.My laptop will not recognise or connect to it.I have followed...

Hi alistair49,

Firstly, is your laptop connected to the internet when trying to install your scanner?
Windows 7 will automatically browse Microsoft's online database of drivers if it's not found in your laptop database.
If you are in fact having driver issues, have you checked the following web page to locate your scanner software?

http://www.medion.com/gb/service/download/driver.php

If, however, you have the drivers, make sure that these are compatible with Windows 7 as your scanner was manufactured before Windows 7 existed. In this case try using Windows 7 compatibility wizard to install your scanner software.

You can do this by right-clicking on the installation file & selecting "troubleshoot compatibility" from the drop-down menu. Simply follow the on-screen directions step by step to check if Windows 7 has compatibility issues with your scanner software. In most cases this procedure should solve your problem.

Best wishes,
Graeme.

Pc problem windows does not start up

If you can get video in start mode its not the video card ! It;s more likel;y a sytem file that is corrupted. If you have the skill and the original disk youn could try a system repair you will need to access the Bios and set up the boot sequence so thast the windowsa disk CD is the boot disk. set ATAPI in Bios to be the boot source and then let windows find its slow track to install, repair etc. If repaoir fails you may only be left with the option of deleting the partition the create a new one and allow windows top reinstall.
Before all that happens save any documents and pics or other data that you want to keep while in safe mode.

Windows XP SP2 will not boot after installing new SATA hard drive

Your system thinks the "second" drive has precedence over the first ( your boot drive ) try switching the SATA cables between the two drives. There also might be a BIOS setting under Boot Order, sometimes you have to drill down to get to it for a particular drive.
