Problem for Weber Genesis Silver C Grill

Low and Slow heating to temperature on grill

cleaned tubes
changed tanks
adjusted regulator, no noticeable change in temperature

grill won't heat higher than 400, last year it would go to 550 in a short time

any suggestions??

That was the problem, it happened once before and I corrected it without knowing. Found this site and your solution refreshed my memory that I had done this before and that is what must corrected the problem! Thanks!!

Hello,

Here are some tips:
Check: The excess flow safety device, which is part of the barbeque to cylinder connection, may have activated.

Fix: To reset the excess flow safety device turn all burners control knobs and the cylinder valve OFF. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to HIGH. Wait at least 1 minute. Turn burner control knobs OFF. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder. Turn cylinder valve on slowly. Then use your like you normally do.
Now the line is purged.
