I have same problem. Hoover Steam Vac Jr. Will pull up water but sprayer handle appears to be clogged.

I tried running really hot water, & vinegar through with not even a dribble.

When pulling top off while running the tube on the clean side still seems to be pulling/bubbling water up through tube.

Is there any way to dissassemble/clean top part of unit?

    Thanks in advance.

Bought my Bissell ProHeat 2X CleanShot 9500 last fall, only used twice. Filled tank with hot tap water and filled the solution container. The flow gauge does not turn at all until I turn the power off; then it spins for a moment. Absolutly no water or cleaning fluid comes out.

May have a bad pump, belt or a clog. If Bissell, the heater inside the handle may be clogged. Running a mix of vinegar and water sometimes will clean out a clog. But not knowing what you have, brand and model, can't give you more info.

Does not spray cleaner

It helps to always run hot water in the soap holding tank after you have cleaned the carpet to make sure the soap does not dry inside and clog. Make sure that the dirty tank water filter is clear of debris, I have noticed that if it is clogged it won't spray out solution. Another thing to try is, it usually will always spray out of handheld cleaning attatchment. steve

No water sprays when I press lever on handle

proheat 9300

assuming the water works for the tools

Remove the water tank. You will see 2 red tabbed plastic spray tubes.(where the spray comes out if not clogged) Pinch the clips to remove from the machine. Then you will need to pinch the hose clips to remove the red tabs from the hose. Clean out those red spray nozzles. Next step: have a towel ready and fill the solution tank with water. Put the solution (not water) tank on to where the water tank would go. Place the machine selection knob to rinse/wet only. Now with towel under the hoses that you removed the red tabs. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to activate the water. You should see water flow out of the hoses that had the red tabs on them. If not, release and pull again the trigger several times. If only 1 hose has water coming out of it then block the one that works and try the process above again to de clog the one that isn't working. Good luck.

I have 2 bissell pro x2's that are now both not spraying water

Thanks to many others who have posted on similar problems -- water and/or solution sprays through the handheld tools, but not through the main machine.

As others have suggested, I removed the water reservoir, which exposes the 2 main water sprays mounted above the rollers. Using, pliers, I carefully slid the clips back. Gently but firmly removed the two red nozzles.

Elsewhere I have read suggestions to just do one nozzle at a time. However, I found out that if you remove both red nozzles, you can then blow through one side and it will come out the other. In my case, that dislodged a nice collection of crystal-like chunks (guessing it may be crystallized residue from the cleaning solution).

There was also a bit of blockage in one of the red nozzles, which I cleaned out. Make sure you can blow through both of them with little resistance.

Reassemble: Push red nozzles back into hoses. Using pliers, reposition sprung clip back over the red nozzle. Snap nozzles back into place. Refill tanks and power it up.

In my case, that resolved the problem of no sprays from the main machine. Sprays like new now. Hope yours does too!! d

Bissell Proheat does not spray water along cleaning brush. Seems to spray just down either side only.

Are the brushes turning? If not then that could be your problem. If they are, check the spray nozzles, they may be partially clogged. Try water a mix of vinegar and water thru it to see if it will unlog your kines and spray nozzles.
