Assuming that you are using windows firewall you nee To disable your firewall by going intointo controll panel, select windows firewall, and select Off. I do not recomend doing so but if you need to do so to download what you need then I sudgest you turn it back on right after you finish downloading.

Web Site Blocked by NETGEAR Firewall

The most common problem for your case is that the settings at the Netgear router block the web site you are trying to visit. Go at the router's settings page, locate the firewall settings and temporary disable the firewall. Check the results. In case this solve your problem, either disable the firewall or modify the existing rule that block the url that you visit. Alternative you can check the block site list at the router settings page (sometimes called parental control) and remove the url from this list.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer. Also clarify me the model of your Netgear router and the site that you have the problem.

Facebook does not use https by default yet and you will need to use http sign in until it is a default setting or on the https sign in page you will need to set up all your info again.

There are some flash games i cant play. my flash play is up to date but i was told it could be my fire wall how do i fix it???

If these games are online in-browser games DO NOT DISABLE YOUR FIREWALL!!! Browser games do not need you to disable your firewall. Disabling your firewall is like putting out a welcome mat for hackers and spyware. Are you sure you've updated to the latest flash player. Go to the Adobe website and check if your version is the same as the latest available download. Version 10.2 is available at the moment.

I used to be able to log in Paltalk but now cant, is there some way I can find out if it's my computer or teh site is blocked in China?

Turn off the firewall and see if it solves the problem.

You could scan the IP Address of the site, of course this is against their permission being granted ... and normally you shouldn't Port Scan IP Addresses that don't belong to you, but if you know the port or ports (TCP, UDP) that are needed you could test and see if they are reachable from one of several online free firewall port scanners:

Shields UP on GRC.COM is one such animal.

If you have an after-market firewall such as Norton/Symantec or such you might want to disable it. Even uninstall it if necessary. I can't tell you how many times I've yanked Norton/Symantec and others from someones computer because it won't let printing and file sharing and such simple stuff work.
