My 360 headset(wired) had the tip broke of in the connecting spot, this prevented me from using the controller to chat online even with a new headset. I have had the same problem in the past and recently discovered that the peace was pushed all the way in the controller allowing it to now connect to a new headset. this however leaves the part inside making a rattling noise when moved the controller takes that key allen key tool with the dot in the middle, so i guess all this text was to ask if anyone knows where to get one of those tools?
Try using a metal needle, take out battery pack and push it back through the hole. But you will still have to buy a new headset, more than likely

A quick search on ebay for "security torx" screwdrivers should return a set of usable drivers. Be careful that you do not get teh short bit sets to fit a standard hex screw driver as they will not reach the 2 bottom screws - I have this set of drivers and have to pre drill the holes to repair my controllers, get a set of screwdrivers with long thin stems.
If ebay fails you sometimes the local hardware store can special order them.
