There have been many applications not being able to work with IE8 which still has a bug. The best you can do is to downgrade to IE7. Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs and remove IE8 from there. It will eventually downgrade to IE7. If you have not seen any IE8 on the list, just open a command prompt and type:

%windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe

then press Enter.

Browser is not supported by web dynpro

Hi,

I see your browser is not supported by web dynpro, are you using Internet Explorer? if so then try using Firefox as an alternative and see if there wouldbe any errors or issues using Firefox.

there would be other browsers as well that you can try if ever Firefox encounters an error on web dynpro but most likely it will work.

Just try a different browser and things may works as expected there would be many instances that a program requires a different browser for some reason some manufacturers of programs require a specific browser or a different browser just to have their program work.

I hope this helps.

My browser doesn't support Web Dynpro, how to fix this problem in Firefox 4.0 version

Firefox 4 and Web Dynpro are currently incompatible with each other. You will have to wait until the developer updates their app to work with Firefox 4.
You can track what's happening on the SAP forums @ http://boardreader.com/thread/Problems_with_Web_Dynpro_and_Firefox_4_6rv33X159dx.html

Meanwhile You can use Web Dynpro with Firefox 3.6.

You have to uninstall firefox 4.0 and then reinstall firefox 3.6

Here is the link to download firefox 3.6.16

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

choose your language and Operating system then according to that download.

let me know was this helpful.

Hi, I got the message: Sorry, your browser/program is not supported by Web Dynpro! WinXP (all updates are installed) with IE 8.0.6001.18702, How can i make it work? Best regards,

Hello mkosmicki
IE8 is the problem , as most Web Dynpro applications are set to default to IE6.
Use the Compatibility View (the little broken page icon at the right of the address bar in the top of your IE window). This should load your program fine by using IE 7 parameters.
Best regards ,
fanaudi .

Browser not supported web dynpro problem:

this error message can mean that you are using an IE8.
If so try to do this simple stpes to Change the compatibility view settings in IE8 browser.
1. In IE8 Go to menu Tools
2.Compatibility View Settings
3. Select the checkbox “Display all websites in Compatibility View”
4. click on the ‘Close’ button.
5. Close all browser sessions and then open a new browser window.

note:
The WebDynpro runtime should now be able to allow the usage of Microsoft IE8 browser.

It shows:browser is not supported by web dynpro

With the limited information you provided, it appears you are using a non-supported web browser for the application you are trying to run. I would suggest trying to perform the same task using Internet Explorer if this is a Windows-related issue or the Apple Safari browser.
Are you using Firefox or Google Chrome?

Message displayed:your browser is not supported by web dynpro.

It says it all... Not all browsers have the same functionality. You simply need to install a different browser or update that browser.

There is no other solution!
