Question about Phones

1 Answer

We purchased a CS50 headset a few years back (maybe 2-3 years ago). The headset is working, however, it is beeping periodically. This has never happened before. I replaced the part that plugs into the wall with a new one, but the beeping continues. Do you have a solution?

Got new BT FREELANCE xd 8500 ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO. WAS USING THE PHONE TODAY FOR ABOUT 10 MINUETS AND THE PHONE CUT OUT. FRIEND PHONED BACK AND ABOUT 10 MINS LATER IT CUT OFF AGAIN WHAT'S THE PROBLEM

You need new rechargeable battery in headset... They only last a year, but should last 3.. IDK, being on the charge degrades them faster than normal. Open back headset and get new ones at Grocery store if they are AA or order from the specialized batter online like from Amazon.

I have the phonemate 2970 answering machine/phone and satellite extension phone. When I turn the sat phone on I get a series of beeps and the HOLD light flashes for about 6 times then shuts down. I...

1. Remove the AC adapter plug from the back of the base unit (not from the wall); leave tel cord connected.

2. While holding down the "set code" button under the cassette lid, plug the ac adapter back into the base. The screen will then display some numbers (110) etc.

3. Hold down the HANDSET keys 1 and 2 simultaneously and then press the speaker button on top within 20 seconds.

4. Press any 3 digits on the handset i.e. 1-2-3.

5. After hearing a BEEP from the handset and base, press 2 on the handset. The base should then say "twenty-five", and the handsets will beep, confirming the new security code is enabled. Press talk or speaker on handset to confirm communication.

6. The time/day stamp and remote access code will be cleared.

7. Best to do this with the answering mach turned off.

8. Restart this procedure if anything goes wrong (may hear a series of error beeps).

I saved my manual and in it I had a fax Casio sent me with these instructions (i had this prob a few times years ago). Good luck!

Is my headset still under warranty cover to be repaired the number is 2013-82-04 07/07 thankyou

It might be. When did you buy it?

For the rest of you who can't read, the warranty is 2 years from date of purchase with a receipt. It's only for certain models and it must not have been tampered with. Numeric models mentioned are 21 and 22, so maybe 20xx is not covered unless it has a covered name to go with the model number.

Phone loses connection after few minutes

I looked up the battery specs for your phone. They are 3 X 200mah= 600mah battery packs. They should last 8 hrs talk time with the headsets. This style of battery pack in my experience only last about 1 1/2years and sometimes longer and "sometimes" shorter...much shorter. I bet you never had problems when you first got them. Basicly this "battery design arrangment" goes back many years before newer battery technlogy was developed. But designers still insist on using them even today. They are cheap to make. ****Time to replace them with new ones.**** Make sure you follow the mfgs charging instructions: "After battery installation, place the handsets in their base unit or charger and allow to charge for 16 hours before use. You can keep the battery charged by returning the handsets to their base unit or charger after each use. When the battery is fully depleted, a recharge takes about 12 hours. Average talk time on a fully charged battery is about eight hours depending on environmental conditions, standby time is approximately four days." Good luck
