The network controller used on these machines has a 2 stage power supply. The 1st stage initialises at switch on and the 2nd stage at about 75% of the boot sequence, if the 2nd stage fails then you will get the "controller unavailable" message. The answer is to replace the internal power supply for the network controller.

More than likely it has a bad ess hard drive.
Could be software corruption but I would think there is a much better chance of it being the hard drive.

The problem is xerox - their network controllers are ****. Get a new machine. Best advice anyone could get. We just went through 3 brand new machines, xerox replaced the network controller on all 3 for a total of 6 or 7 network conrtollers - we had a 5150, 5150 and a 5638 we had techs, level 2 techs, and engineers dissect all machines. A tech just left and now the network controller is saying unavailable - the tech just replaced the power supply... yesterday.

I have 3 workcentre Xerox 5030 with no conectivity(sacn , print or fax). the units were installed in 2010, We have connectivity issues with the units and tech support has told as to reset the units. While it does help initially, it is only a temporary fix. Two out of three units are now out of service. when we called Xerox the told us that they will dispach field engineer for $375.00 per half hour, plus parts. However, we believe this product have a mayor electrical engineering poor design issue and it soud be treate as a product recall. The interface print/ scan/fax has a power supply with no ventilation system for protection which results in overheating and to add more to the problem they mounted the hard drive over the power supply, I never see such poor engineering design for office products
I will stay away from Xerox from now on, these units should cover by a factory recall

UI/NC CABLE FAILURE RESET THE MACHINE CODE IN WORKCENTRE 7675

Your error is either a disconnected cable or a bad cable.

Xerox refers to the Operator Panel as the "UI"or User Interface, and the "NC" as the Network Controller. The cable you probably need to check or replace is 117K37660, coming out of the Operator panel back to the copier.

Xerox workcentre 5745 network controller boots to 75% then fails and the reboot message comes up.

Try the following:
1. Power down the device
2. AFTER it is COMPLETELY powered off (can take up to 2 minutes), unplug the power cord from the wall.
3. Wait 5 minutes with the machine unplugged.
4. AFTER 5 FULL minutes have expired, plug the machine back in and turn it back on.

If this fails to restore functionality please call for service.

How can i fix the machine when it say network controller unavailable??

If you aren't going to use the copier on the network, you can open the SIP tray (the tray that slides out in the back) and remove the firewire card. Make sure the network controller is not plugged in.

If you are using the network controller, the display message does not mean anything. There's no need to worry about it since it's not harming anything.

System not initializing

Does the machine have a network box on back? Frequently on that product the boards in the network controller come lose, and simply need reset.
You can unplug all accessories and see if it powers up then, then connect them back one by one and see which one causes the failure.

Xerox WC Pro 35 - Error 14-563

this code means your scanner has failed to setup correctly. this could be a problem that you would need a qualified tech to service the copier. there is nothing that you can do after you power off and power on (popo) the copier. it could be voltage, pwb board, or a binding scanner assembly.
