Question about Malber WD1000 Front Load Washer/Dryer

WD 1000 wash cycle won't start

I have a new WD1000 which has been working perfectly until yesterday. No matter what the settings are, the wash cycle won't start. No noise of any kind. But when I advance the cycle dial to the end the drying cycle starts with heat but no drum movement...so I don't think its the door switch interlock. any ideas? Is there possibly a motor fuse shot.

Thanks,

KM

Two of the dials are dryer settings. There is only one washer dial, which basically controls the length of the wash and rinses, etc.

SOURCE: Dry cycle

Try setting the washer dial to the stop setting at the end of setting number 4 then set the dryer timer and turn on the machine.  This works for mine to get the dryer to run by itself.  It should begin about 30 seconds later, when the door locks.  Hope this helps.

No final spin

I haven't experienced that problem, but is it possible that the machine becomes unbalanced with the spinning load and then aborts the spin, so it doesn't finish? Has the machine been properly leveled during installation?

My 7 year old Malber WD 1000 won't dry - Where to order heating element?

pete5runner back again: The check you should make is to disconnect the two wires to the heating element carefully (with unit unplugged). Then connect a 110 voltmeter to the two wires. The plug in the machine and start a dry cycle. If you see 110 volts on the voltmeter, then you know that power is getting to the heating element, and you have isolated the heating element as defective. If you need a heating element, I got one in NY by calling 718-767-7396. New element was $29, shipping included. I don't know if he will ship to where you are located. Good luck, and let me know what happens.
