I have taken one of those apart and i know the main connectors that send the info to the screen are in that hinge that came a apart. The screen is either bad ( common with those ) the screen plug got detached from the circuit board inside which send the info and powers the screen. Jut my opinion, hope it helps.

My screen is broken on my phone

Hello,

Your phone needs to be sent for repair or if you want you may purchase LCD screen and replace it by yourself.
You may check this link to buy LCD screen:

http://www.bizrate.com/electronics-under-60/sony-ericsson-w810-w810i-lcd-replacement-screen-us/

here are the steps to replace the LCD screen.

1.Remove the aluminium-panel on the backside of the display-slider (when slider is opened and you look at the mobile from backside)! This part is fixed with adhesive and so you can remove it carefully.

2.lift an edge of it with a thin slotted screwdriver (for instance)
3.insert something like a credit card in this lifted edge an remove the whole panel with it.
4.you'll see two little screws you also have to remove before you can take off the front-cover of your mobile. Now there is only one screw left to remove. It's on the front-side beneath the display.

5.When you're done removing all this screws, you have to be very careful. The old display can be removed by disconnecting it's flex-cable from the circuit board (this little board you just removed the mounting screw from, the cable-connector is on the backside of it).

6.Insert the new display, connect it to the circuit board an do all steps in reverse to assemble it again.

Thanks.

My screen is blacked out on my razr v3t gsm!

You cannot access the screen once htis happens. You need to contact your phone company and tell them what is going on so you can get a replacement phone because this is a matter of the wires having been split in your screen. I wish you the best of luck!
