There is software you can purchase in an attempt to retrieve your photo's go to www.ebay.com Type: picture recovery a list of sellers will pop up to give choices, also check www.download.com and type same notation.
you will need to update the drives. They are free to download. Many websites including Fuji, have them available. Just click, download, then double-click the file to install onto pc. Then restart pc, turn on camera, then connect it and you'll be fine.
from fuji......You can use these cameras on Mac OS X by updating your installed software with the updater which is uploaded in Software Download section.
Either way, that's the FujiFilm website, so it should be somewhere. All I found was updates for different versions (i admit i didn't spend too much time looking). www.fujifilm.com is the original website, so I recommend you go the go, select country, select camera, etc instead of typing in the link above (it will probably be dead.....it always happens).
