Go to control panel click on display icon and then go to setting tab and there you will find screen resolution settings

check the power cord, set to the monitor correctly, if still dead, open the monitor, check the power supply module, find some capacitor inside it, if became puffed or leaked change with new one.

My display had moved about 0.5 inch towards right. How to centralise it. Samsung Syncmaster943swxLCD monitor.


Locate and press the "Auto" button - next to the "Power" button. The monitor will automatically self adjust to the analog signal (a standard 15 pin VGA cable).

If you are using DVI (Digital Video Interface cable), you'll have to right click on the desktop and change the resolution, scan frequency or other setting - depending on the OS (Operation System) such as WinXP, Win 7, Linux, Mac, etc.. Each OS has a different way of getting to those settings.

Resolution problem with AOC TFT 185W80PF


Monitors don't need drivers to function. Either you need to configure it or it's dead.

I need to know how to reset my monitor to factory defaults

Factory Setting Method
- Connect the signal cable and power cable to the LCD monitor.
- Press Power switch with pressed MENU key.(Menu key + Power key).
- Then, a User can change the factory setting value in OSD menu.
- Save changed value and Turn off the power s/w.
- Turn on the power, adjust the screen.

Resolution Issues


PC-right click go to personalize (usually at bottom of menu)
XP/ME/98- tabs at the top, goto settings to change.
