No one buys universal remotes these days. You buy a facsimile remote which is the same as the original and no programming. www.remotes.com

The universal code for most is 049 for a Sanyo TV.

• With your universal remote you press the code search key until it illuminates and then you press and release the TV key.
• Next enter the three digit code (3 digit remote code page) and the indicator light turns off.

Alternatively, a universal remote that was programmed after April 2010 with an input button should have a code that will work allow that button to work with this TV. (The DP26649 was available on Amazon.com starting before the end of October, 2009. Most universal remotes can control TVs made 6 months or more before the remote was programmed at the factory.)

Try the Phillips website >HERE< which links to their Universal Remote support centre. Unfortunately you haven't given the details of your actual remote but you should be able to find it and download a manual or email them direct.

Sanyo TVs use all these codes:
0506, 0311, 0612, 0002,
0428, 0802, 0412, 0619,
0208, 0157, 0292, 0036,
0011, 0370, 0072, 0216,
0217, 0104, 0045, 0009,
0163, 0037,

1) Turn on TV;
2) Press TV on the remote control;
3) Press and hold SETUP, until the red LED indicator blinks twice;
4) Enter 9-9-1-1 on the numeric keypad;
5) Press POWER on the remote;
6) If the TV doesn't respond, repeat #3, #4, #5.

ok i have a sanyo tv that was set to imput my remote messed up but now it is fixed i cant figure out how to get it off. in order for me to reprogram my Universal remote i have it has to scan channles right wut do i do??? plzzz help me!

I have a 15-2147. The codes from solution 1 didn't work for my remote, so I used the codes listed on Radio Shack's page for the 15-2142. The first code worked. Those codes are: 0154, 1907

Your in the video mode so you have to change the input. On the original remote, its the button left of the power button. A universal may not work for this. If you need the original remote, Its available at http://www.remotes.com Good Luck
