1. First make sure that you or anyone with access to your computer has not deleted the software.

2. Try the SEARCH feature: START > SEARCH > (from left panel, select "All files and folders").
Under "All or part of file name", type eManager.exe.
Make sure you select the C: drive under "Look in". You should see the results in the right pane.

3. If you cannot see that listed when you actually get there in Windows Explorer (START,right click and select 'Explore' to bring up Windows Explorer), click on TOOLS (at the top of the window) > Folder Options > View Tab > Hidden Files And Folders. Here click on "Show hidden files and folders". Now you should be able to see all hidden files.

We just purchased an ACER Aspire 3800 and tried to back up data to a DVD which failed. The message from Emanager said it could not burn to a DVD

Check 1st in Device Manager that the device is working properly. If there is no red "X" on the device then i would try a different DVD media (different maker...not all bargains are real bargains). If still not working try a different burning software. I found a list of free software as follows

Hope this helps, Best Regards, -md

I want to restore my acer aspire 3680 to its factory settings but i don't no how.

Do you have a restore disc?

If not you can use the emanagement software on your PC to create one.

Once you have your restore disc, reboot your pc. Once the ACER logo disappears push the <Delete> key to enter BIOS (Setup) browse through the menu's until you find the option for "Boot Order" and change them so that your cd/dvd drive is the first one in the list. Push <F10> to save and reboot

put your restore disc in the drive. And reboot as necessary.
From here on out it should be simply following the prompts.
If you need further help just post another comment here and we'll do our best to help

Dell C640 change touchpad settings

All,

I read on this a while then found these 2 packages and downloaded from DELL's site:

R49155.EXE
R46325.EXE

I installed the R49155.EXE and got 2 more tabs in the properties window for my mouse (Start + Control Panel + Mouse).

In the new "Device Settings" tab I can either totally disable the touchpad or in "Settings", just disable the "TAP to click"; which is the feature causing the cursor to bounce all over.

Also in the active application section of the launch bar, lower right next to clock, an ICON is now present and "TAP to click" is an option, which I can now easily inable/disable; after opening the ICON with a click.

As I understand it, R46325.EXE is the R49155.EXE on steroids, but did not need that.

Cheers!
