If the gas and elect mode are heating the bulb/tube the unit is low on ammonia. You should be able to visually see the small flame in gas mode heating the tube. If it is then there are no other moving parts its the ammonia. good luck

There has to be a heat source to circulate the ammonia. . If the If the problem started after a power outage I would suspect a problem in problem in one of the control boards or controls. Verify power to the main board and look for voltage to the heating element in electric mode and power to the ignition circuit for gas.

SOURCE: Dometic RM2652 or RM2852 not working.

There is a factory recall on these refrigerators. Call Dometic 1800-544-4881 and give them your serial number and model number. Going through the same thing right now. On my Fleetwood Gearbox. Hope that helps. Robert

SOURCE: RM2652 WORKS ON GAS NOT ON AC ALL FUSES OK POWER

www;
Unplug the fridge. Remove the cover from the circuit board, unplug the 2 wires going to the heat element and do an Ohms reading should be 35-45 Ohms. If the Ohms is good then you need a circuit board as long as you have checked the 110 volt fuse on the circuit board.

SOURCE: Dometic fridge 'check' light keeps coming on...won't cool

Yes , the check light is there to tell you that your out of gas yes this is true but the device which switches to power is not changing over which will not let the heaters work and will not start the process of cooling, I suggest to inspect the switch and ensure that this is the case first before consulting a mechanic.

RM2652 cools great on gas and 110 but will only cycle on and off in 110 mode. Once gas is selected, it will never cycle off.

These dual service refrigerators are somewhat tricky. Did you check the gas system for any carbon buildup around the flame/burner area. If the flame is not the proper size it will not get cold enough to shut off. Clean all carbon/dirt from the flame area and check again. Propane causes deposits after a while.

My freezer seems to work fine on the AC but the fridge will not get cool any idea what the problem might be Dometic model RM2652

Move your temperature control (slider) down. If it is close to the freezer it does not get the signal that it is warmer.

My Dometic RM2652 RV Refridgerator is freezing on the bottom portion of the refriderator. I read that there is a recall for my refridgerator. Can you tell me what the problem is.

On the back of the refer are the cooling fins. There you will find a small piece about the size of a dime with a wire attached to each side 2 wires total. Move it down the cooling fin to about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the fins
This should solve your problem

Dometic rm2652 frige just stopped working, gas nor

Check 12V supply and fuses on lower board. If display functions okay, then look for yellow residue on back of refrigerator near burner. If yes, then cooling unit has leaked and needs to be replaced. See if recall kit has been installed, and check for 12V at both sides of limit switch. If no power on either side, then thermal link has blown, and need to be replaced, If 12V on one side, but not the other, than limit is tripped, and needs to be reset, by pushing button, or if not resetting, then replace, Check for obstructions to the bottom and top vent to make sure they are not blocked, On models with top side vent, check cooling fan for proper operation.

My Dometic trailer refridgerator is warm but freezer is freezing.

Brandi4723,

Unfortunately, you have a bad cooling unit in your refrigerator. Then ammonia smell means that you have a leak in the unit. TURN THE FRIDGE OFF!!! Do not use the fridge on AC or Gas until you have the cooling unit replaced or buy a new fridge. Depending on the model number and serial number of the fridge, it may be under recall by dometic and you might be able to have it repaired for free. If you will provide me with the model number, serial number and the serial number of the cooling unit (found on the outside of the unit in the fridge compartment, lower tank of cooling unit), I can then tell you the pricing of the repairs or whether it is under recall.

Again, TURN THE FRIDGE OFF and do not use it...RISK OF FIRE!!!!

Hope this helps,

Jeff

My small refridgerator Model MCBR445B1 just stopped cooling

You hire a professional to check it for you but I am quite sure it's the freon gas that has run out. Just like my refrigerator. One day, it just stopped cooling although it still powers on until now. You can have your freon replaced by the manufacturer or through an authorized refrigeration and conditioning shop in your area.
