When you want to restore the factory setting on your phone, the code it asks for is not a restore factory code, but your phone's security code. So when prompted for the security code, enter the default code - 12345. But if you had initially changed this code, then you are to enter your new code when you are prompted for it. Hope that helps. Success.

If you have not changed the security code, then try the default of 12345. if you have changed and forgotten then you will have to get the firmware re-installed from Nokia Care.
Your phone’s four-digit lock/unlock code is originally set to 1234. The six-digit security code is originally set to 000000.
If you forget your unlock code: At the Enter Unlock Code prompt, try entering 1234 or the last four digits of your phone number. If that doesn’t work, press and enter your six-digit security code instead. .
You can access the phone using the PUK code provided in your phone. once you access it, i dont think you can change the code as you dont know the current one but surely can disable it..!!
