Phono inputs. Hopefully your receiver has them. If not, then try your aux inputs and hope that you do not have a magnetic cartridge. If you have the latter you will need to purchase a preamp and then feed its output into the receiver input.

How can I connect a Thorens 145 turntable to it?

Your Harman Kardon AVR 85 doesn't have "phono" inputs. That means that you can not connect a turntable to it directly. You will need a "phono preamp" to amplify the very tiny signal from the phono cart enough for the HK receiver to play it. Something like this:

PYLE PRO PP444 Ultra Compact Phono Turntable Preamp

will do it. There are certainly better ones, like:

Hello,

Are you sure that is the part number? The HK-3480 uses a KTC3114A and is quite easy to find. Q317 and Q318 in your receiver.

Make sure you see the numbers correctly.

The issue is, that I purchased a set of 2 belts via eBay for my deck. I fixed the problem with the belt to move the cassette. But there is a second set in the pack and I cannot install this. Perhaps it is...

The belts you have replaced are used to operate the loading/unloading mechanism I assume. On the bottom of the cassette mechanism you will find the other belts...one from motor to idler wheel assy. or actual reel hub. Older cassette decks also used a belt to drive the tape counter mechanism.

Older cassette decks used belts from the motor to the capstan, another from the motor to an idler assy. or tape reels (FF & RR) and another belt driving the mechanical tape counter.

Harman Kardon HK 3250 Receiver- how can I connect my turntable? there is no PHONO input

These depends on what model of turntable you have .

On most it can be connected on the inputs you have mentioned ,

If only , a RIAA preamp is included in it.

You may need one, if it doesnt have,

can also be connected to Aux or Tape

I want to connect my old Sony turntable to my Harmon Kardon AVR130 but whatever I do the volume is very low and I cannot get it working. Any idea how to solve this issue?

If your turntable is old, it probably does not have a built in amplifier. You might want to purchase a pre-amp to boost the signal a bit before it goes into the receiver.
