Ferny28,
This is a common problem on these plasma TV's. The problem resides in the high voltage boards known as the X and Y Sustain boards.. You can purchase them here for a very reasonable price:
http://www.discount-merchant.com/Y-SUSTAIN-FOR-42-PLASMA-TV-PN-6871QYH036A-p/sku9510.htm

The above link is to a Y-SUS board. The X-Sus board is often the 2nd cause of failure and can be found here:
http://www.discount-merchant.com/X-SUSTAIN-6871QZH041B-6870QZE017D-6871QZH052D-p/sku9509.htm

To test which board is failing, you need to check voltage input to the YSUS board first... Input should be 120V from Power supply, output should be above 250V.. Do this test with XSUS disconnected. IF 250+V exists, then XSUS is damaged. If not, then the YSUS is the faulty part.

Sounds like either a blown main power fuse or power transformer. If the fuse is blown it probably means a short in the amp somewhere. If it is the transformer, it can be replaced - but may cost more than the unit did.

My TV Wouldn't On

if no any power light indicator at the front of your tv that was mean the unit is dead set or no voltage that is circulating in the main board and other boards.if you can remove the rear cover of your tv, the first place to check will be the power supply board if the primary fuse was blown. if the fuse is blown with darkened color that was mean has shorted component either in the main board or in the power supply unit. if the fuse blown with clear color just replace with the same rating.

It's not running and no sign of humming

Hi,
Your fan have a blown thermal fuse.
The cause of blown thermal fuse is overheating of the fan motor, due to lack of lubricant in the shaft bushing.
The thermal fuse is a safety precaution to prevent fire when you left it running and your away from home.
It is located at the back of the winding connection, accessing it, you have to disassemble the motor cage housing. If you have no experience on such repair better bring it to any electric tech shop to replace the said part and they would check also the bushing and will add a new lubrication to the shaft.

Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for asking FixYa!

After I put a fuse in the player, and plug into wall, the fuse immediately blows.

Hi,
Your fuse blown again because you have a short on the circuit. You may visit my link http://www.fixya.com/support/r8053361-fuse_keeps_blowing for more info.
I've suspect that you have short on rectifier diode/main filter capacitor/regulator IC/transistor. This is quite fixable.
Hope it may help you.
Thanks for using fixya.

The mains input fuse (4amp) and a (1amp) fuse on the main power out board were blown. Replaced fuses and switched on, blown again, disconnected output from transformer to main board (4amp) fuse did not...

The cheapest option is to replace the transistors (a quick check on google will tell you how much they are). If they are common transistors you will be able to find them and get them quicker then searching for a board that could be no longer being made.

Check the Fuse Box inside for a Blown Fuse with a Really Good Flashlight. You will be able to see which one is Blown. Then Locate the Fuse Relay Box under the Hood and look at the Diagram inside the Cover and Locate the Illumination Relay, Replace this if you cannot Find a Blown Fuse. Please Rate My Response! Main fuse blown on CT-32G11 32" Panasonic TV, Replacement fuses continue to blow.

If the main fuse keeps blowing, check the horizontal output transistor for a shorted condition and diodes in that section as well.
