Question about PC Desktops

I have a Dell Latitude D500 and there is no sound comming through.I have installed the right drivers as i have 2 machine and it workes fineon one and the other just wont give a sound even on startup.I swapped speakers as well as keybard we well.Still no sound.Please help!

    How can i fix the onboard sound slot problem??Do i have to change the whole board??I tried to spray chemical cleaner where the cable fits for the speakers but still no sound?Any solns to this problem??Thanks for the earlier responce :)

Just tell the volume icon in the system is shown or not if not then you sound drivers are not installed if it is showing then your onboard sound slot is having problem

No sound on computer


Hello,

Exit all programs and then re-boot the computer first to see if the sound returns. If you hear the start up sound, things are probably working.

ok go to www.dell.com and put in the modle number of the comp and download all the drivers you need for it

The sound card only loads at startup once in a great while for my dell latitude model PP01L

It sounds as if your audio card has died. Start over again, do the following:
1) Turn the computer off
2) Remove the audio card
3) Restart and uninstall the drivers
4) Turn the computer off
5) Install the audio card
6) Restart and let Windows install a driver or install the driver yourself by going to the cards web site and downloading.
7) Run Windows or MS Update to confirm that the most up to date driver is installed.
8) Restart the computer

If after doing the following and the card still does not load at start up very time, the card has died. Sometimes a malware program running at startup can cause these problems so make sure that your machine is clean before doing anything.

Sound system not working, and its not the speakers


Do you have the correct drivers installed?Go to support.dell.com.Input your machine type choose the correct driver and download it.Once you have completed the download,uninstall the present drivers.Click on the file you downloaded follow the instructions this will install the drivers.

Windows doesn't recognize my sound card and I can't locate a driver, for it. I don't think the sound card is bad, as it worked before I reformatted my harddrive and added the software.


Install the latest Sound driver from the website.

Click on "Drivers & Downloads",
Enter your "Service Tag",
Locate the right driver, download it.. & Install it.

I need display driver for xp of my EVO D5S desktop computer. I tried to install D500 driver but it does not work. From where I get driver


The display driver (among many others) for your machine are available on the HP support website.
Click Here for the direct download link.
1) Select Operating System (XP Professional / XP Home).
2) Select 'Driver - Graphics' and choose the appropriate download.

Vga card driver


Dell usually use different PCI cards in the same computers down load a small program call unidentified device identifyer and see what the sound card is the you can click on driver and it will go to site where driver is downlaoad install and reboot the computer if that does not work Most drivers I get are on the web site driverguide.com but you need to register and it is free once installed reboot the computer

Hello, I have a Dell Latitude D600 and the 2 USB on it don't work at all. Can you help, please.


A long way around it you might try finding a quick linux livecd and boot your system from that and see if the linux will recognize and use your usb ports. this test will let you know wether your usb ports are broken, or possibly your os installation has some glitch and is refusing to use your ports.

the other way around it is just saying that the usb doesn't work

another option is checking to see if in the bios usb is turned on or off which can happen sometimes.

and there is also the obvious uninstall the hardware and download the usb driver from the website and reinstall the hardware directing it to the driver you downloaded and see if that works..

there are a few options for you anyways :D
